So your complaint seems to be that the media didn't want to get played like they did with Hillary's emails so they downplayed the Hunter story because it didn't seem on the up and up?? If that's the case... so what?? The media should have learned some lessons from 2016 and be better about vetting a scandal. However it also didn't hide anything. I remember pre-election Ken Vogel from the NYT was on even MSNBC flouting his investigation. Like even MSNBC wasn't hiding that this was there. Vogel was clear in saying yeah... this is a real story. We'll just see later on how important it is in the grand scheme of things... which it turned out to not be that important because Joe Biden wasn't implicated, and even if you don't think it mattered, Joe Biden laying out his financials I personally think mattered to getting this story off air since he could land a talking point that "look at my financials... I have no stake here." So I guess I'm just confused on what you have a problem with here. The Hunter Biden story is covered ad nauseum then and now. If you want to find out new info on Hunter Biden there is news out daily on FoxNews, and if you want Joe Biden to be impeached over his sons screw ups then vote for Republicans in November. You'll get ALL the Hunter Biden coverage your heart can dream of.

Apparently DOJ's response filing today was the legal filing version of "sure if you want us to **** all over you we will." DOJ informed the court they will file a public response in the coming days to Trump's filing. A lot of lawyers online are saying Trump would have been better off just not making any motions at this point. Each filing brings more bad press.
I agree, and I've said a few times in the past week or so that it is worth discussing, but in the context of a more intimate human family drama perspective. Love or hate Biden, it's hard to not view him as a much more human figure, and honestly his story is going to be much much more engaging for film, books, etc. in the future. For all his bluster, in the end Trump is even less nuanced than Joffrey from Game of Thrones. There's nothing redeeming or worth our time. It's like an Orc from Lord of the Rings. Joe Biden is flawed, but he's grounded, and relatable. This story with his son is fascinating, but NOT for the reason many on the right think. Hunter Biden is a massive screw up, and tried to live a life of money, drugs, and scheming.... and now his life is in shambles, and all he has is family to love and support him. It's a fascinating human drama I'm sure, but it's not Iran Contra, 9/11, or even Trump's Mar A Lago raid. It's just not THAT type of political scandal.
