So how worried should we be about JV’s “calf injury?” As much as I would like him to get to 20 wins this season, maybe he should rest up as much as he/training staff thinks he needs.
The @OAK (6/1, no no through 6+ then go ahead homer) and @CHW (8/16, bad ump zone plus LOBsters) games really bug me. Should be at 18 this year (244 career) already.
I see jokers playing this at Jaycee park when I meet @Squirtle there for other reasons. Looks fun, haven’t tried it yet
This is the first I've I've ever heard of pickle ball. I thought it was a baseball version of snipe hunting or a euphemism for something else. I've learned something new. Now if only I can remember it this afternoon.
In Jr High, we used to make our own "footballs" out of 1/2 Pint milk cartons. But that's back when kids were allowed to be kids and innovative.
I'm only worried about it in the context of when it also could be an achilles issue. Granted, he didn't seem to fall all over himself when walking off the field (which is what would happen with a complete rupture), but I fear there's more to this than is currently being disseminated (or I'm just conditioned based on how the Astros handle injuries in the past... it never seems to be just a minor tweak).
Would Hunter Brown need to be added to the 40 man prior to Sept. 1 to be eligible for the postseason?
As long as someone is on the IL and served the minimum time on the IL, he will be eligible. As Brantley will be on IL for minimum amount of time, he's good.
I remember when Donatas Motiejunas was ruled out for like 1-2 weeks with lower back pain with the Rockets and never got back to the level he was at the rest of his career... that was super sad.
