Without a lineup shakeup, it's unfortunate that the Stros do not have a proper 2-hole hitter since Uncle Mike got hurt.

Pena was so good there earlier, I'd be tempted to put him back there in September just to see if it might jump-start his bat.

Best record in the AL says the Astros know what they are doing, but not replacing Springer with anybody close to league average might cost them a couple of rings.

I’d go Pena 2nd over Yuli.

I’m not sure why they can’t go Altuve Bregman Tucker and Alvarez. Getting your best hitters more at bats seems like a good idea.

It would also help if Alvarez either takes time off to heal completely or gets his **** together. If that happens it probably matters less that Yuli is in the 2 hole.

They didn't plan on Meyers blowing out his shoulder.

Pena, 24G (small sample, indeed), 109 PA, .289 .312 .539 .850 (massive K:BB totals though, just like everywhere else)

And yeah, I don't mind missing Yordan in the lineup for a bit as long as Yordan is heathy(ier) in October.

Yuli's at-bats are horrendous, he is trying to hit everything, flying out most of the time.

Before the season I told fellow forum friends on which baseball player will have a 1 year wonder, I jokingly said Yuli. f@#$ me. At least the Dodgers has 1 too in Cody Bellinger.

There’s no perfect solution but just trotting out Yuli at 2 like the batting champ isn’t inspiring.

Baltimore is 4th in their division... Astros are 1st

It's a lame argument to make the comparison based on what was presented initially

Dodgers? Yeah, they're good. Real good. And playing in a better division than AL West

Division standings mean all of jack **** nothing in the WC era.

Dodgers lost to the Marlins 2-1 tonight. Yanks and A's are 0-0 in the 10th

Nats lost to the Reds, Rays lost to the Sox, Jays lost to the Angels...it happens.

Wow... you're still continuing a blah blah blah stupid argument

The fact still remains... Stros are fortunate they're not AL East

You don't think the Stros could compete in the AL/NL/Whatever division?

    Interesting.

I'd say winning records vs winning teams seems to talk. You can sure have your opinion though.

ETA: Yanks and A's are now 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th at Oakland. Fun game.

A's tied Yankees 2-2 bottom 10th. Still batting.

Tub-O-Goo Voght 2 run tying HR in the bottom of 10 on a BP pitch right on a tee.

After some total ****ups by the A's pitcher/catcher in the top of the inning gave the Yanks 2 runs.

    ***ETA***

    The Yankee boxscore reads 2R, 1H, 1E
