Shockingly the inning where Lance threw all curveballs he took 10 pitches to dominate. The prior inning he threw no curveballs and every ball was hard hit. I don’t have access the Astros’ supercomputer, but I have a guess about pitch mix effectiveness. Seriously, if the split is that extreme, maybe he really does need to go into relief for the playoffs where he can just let the CB fly for two unhittable innings.
"Best 5 innings pitched of his career". How often have we heard that for trash pitchers this season....smh.
So Lance somehow has an ERA of 0.00 in his two home starts. Lance might need to be the game 2 starter in playoff series with home field advantage so he can start at home.
I was just about to post a similar thought, that they must have been handed the WRONG scouting report. If either the case, I hope they are reading it now.
Poor Jake. Just hasn't been the same since that late year injury. Is my memory failing me, because I seem to remember him mashing before then. Serviceable anyway.
