I am not sure if you are serious about this. I am not ignoring any of the clutch moments, I am taking into account all of the clutch moments. You are the one ignoring the parts where he could not make it, and just concentrate on the times he made it.
Instead of saying that you are sure that I can do something, point out to something real if you have it.
So is the discussion going to be based in absolute extremes on both ends? Where is the middle ground? You appear to be insinuating that KPJ will not be a good clutch player moving forward because of his year long stats in that department. I insinuate that he can be a clutch performer in important games because I've seen it and there is a fair amount of data to support that. Again you dont attempt to use context when trying to evaluate talent in particular the upcoming stretch of seasons. You seem deadlocked on TODAY and for whatever reason dont seem to be invested enough to give him any slack as a player for what I have to presume is your favorite basketball team or maybe you just latched on after Sengun was drafted - either way KPJ playing out of his mind is GREAT for this team.
The honest discussion you choose to have is revolving exclusively around a stat sheet. Thats not the only way to evaluate talent. Especially younger players that are positioned to take the next step in their development.
You sound like they traded him for scraps, the fact that he got traded for a bag and got paid going into his 6th year after doing much worse is a great parallel. Why are you focusing on him being traded while skimming over the fact he got traded for a bag and still got paid?
What does that have to do with him being the most talented rocket or with him getting an extension? Nobody on this team currently can be a top 5 MVP finisher in my opinion, so nobody should get an extension?
I don't see why is it extreme to look at all clutch moments he had, and I don't see why the ones you are looking at are the important ones. I use context, it is just the things I value is different than what you value. I am not deadlocked on today. I think kpj can do well, can be an all star etc. all is in within possibility. But I don't see many things that support things will go that way. Instead of answering questions, bringing up sengun does not make your arguments any stronger. Are KPJ clutch numbers bad? YES! Is it related to my nick on this site or why I am here? NO! Does looking at January numbers make sense to predict future? NO! Is it related to my name on this site? NO! Is KPJ playing out of his mind is Great for this team? YES Is it going to happen because you make logically false conclusions? NO. Does it have chance of happening? YES When you say he is good in clutch, I will say he is not. Because the numbers don't support that. And just looking at the games he was good in clutch is not a valid method.
Garland was not an all star max player when he played with him, he was a breakout player last year and that happened when he had more talent around him. What is your point?
Darius Garland is also a good comp for KPJ they are both combo guards and he just got a max. 2021 Cavaliers 68 35.7 21.7 46.2 38.3 3.3 8.6 1.3 0.1 2020 Cavaliers 54 33.1 17.4 45.1 39.5 2.4 6.1 1.2 0.1 2019 Cavaliers 59 30.9 12.3 40.1 35.5 1.9 3.9 0.7 0.1 Career 181 33.4 17.4 44.3 37.8 2.6 6.3 1.1 0.1 The really funny part is nobody is advocating getting a max and you all are still b****ing.
KPJ was dumped from Cavaliers for throwing soup!, and Garland was not. After that kpj came to houston, left a game at half time. and is sulking during games, not putting in effort consistently. Garland becomes an allstar, not just because he had talent around, he has the mentality to put the effort all the time, and he succeeded to stay in a team where he could get help. KPJ not only failed in that , but continued similar behaviour where he went. Thus my point is, it is strange to assume that he will suddenly become a very good player, if you change the talent around him. Also, he had the chance to have that talent, he just did not use it.
So once again you really got nothing. Either you are trolling or you just hate KPJ, either way I am done with you. When he gets the bag, you're gonna be so upset.
Yeah, if you just watched Brewer's highlight clips, you'd want Jalen Green to be the next Corey Brewer.
Well that’s basically required to be a title contender. If you don’t think anyone has a chance to be at that level, it’s better to start over on the rebuild
