Only 1 episode. I wont jump to conclusions like yall bozos. I give it a C+ so far. The BS SUPER FEMINIST narrative the haters are pushing sure is annoying though. Not seeing that all. Reeks of small peen tantrum. This is about 99x better'n The Terminal List which to me is just a bunch of low pay dudes playing tummy sticks with each other. Only made it through 2 episodes of that. YAWN.
I haven't watched it and haven't really been excited to watch anything Marvel anymore. I didn't even watch Thor, Ms Marvel, Moonknight, or Hawkeye...I'm so edgy... Oh I just remembered I did watch What If. It had some promising, unique features to it but overall was missing something. Everything I read about She-Hulk makes it seem like more MCU filler content for Disney+. Don't really care too much about this version of Professor Hulk either after they made him bland and nerfed in Endgame. The writing for all the new characters they keep bringing in has been worse than "woke"....it's just uninteresting. I'd love to hear about a series that is interesting and exciting...but it doesn't sound like She-Hulk will be it.
I'm a little confused. That was literally the main narrative in the show. From the misogynist lawyer colleague, to the women in the bathroom assuming a man must have hurt hurt her, to the 3 dudes harassing her outside of the bar, to the most pivotal scene of the episode with the cliched, circa-2017 rant that sound like it came direct from the #METOO March. Seriously, what else did you think was the main point of the show? The science behind gamma ray exposure in humans?
That's fair. They're covering a lot of content. BUT. Same as the comics. They didn't put the A-team on She Hulk IP unless she made it to an Avengers book. Not everyone in the NBA is Michael Jordan.
Yee, tired of men with small peen's complaining about women doing anything about their problems. Sooooo WOKE to not get upset about being harassed at a bar? That never happens. Lulzmmm. The men complaining probably cant get a girl attractive enough to warrant harassment so they cant relate. Go watch one of @tinman Van Damme movies. That was REAL CINEMA.
I enjoyed the ones that I bolded. Ms Marvel had some of that "you go girl" attitude, but it didn't seem like the main driver of the show. I thought there were funny parts too, and I actually got into the story line. I couldn't get into Moon Knight. I'll watch Thor when it comes out on Disney plus. I thought there was some good stuff from She-Hulk. More interested in the abomination and dare devil and how they tie all that in.
I think effective "feminst" shows/films can be made, but She-Hulk is pretty much the lowest quality, lease effective example. A movie like Promising Young Woman would be the best example.
They haven't put the A team or B team on any of these new characters from what I've seen. The only potentially interesting one is Kang and he was interesting in spite of the holes they had in Loki. Jonathan Majors made Kang interesting from the strength of his acting. Which reminds me Sophie is just bland and boring to me as well and they only elevated her by nerfing the main Loki. I don't even know why she's a prominent character because she didn't add anything for me. They keep using this tactic of undermining/nerfing an existing character in order to make a new character seem better. It's pretty lame overall. This whole variant thing that they are going to lay into heavily going forward could have had some interesting things if they carefully planned things out, but it seems they are being lazy and sloppy with the writing overall. Maybe they will pull out of this nosedive as I see it, but I'm not hopeful.
And also not every character needs to be Michael Jordan-level for them to have interesting writing. There are other players in the NBA who are more interesting that Jordan or have their own niche where they are very interesting. Tiger Woods is one of the best golfers of all time but John Daly is one of the most interesting golfers of all time lol. Are there any interesting supporting characters in the MCU right now? I'm sure there are some but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Like Loki would have been one for me but they nerfed him like they did Hulk. Maybe he will make a comeback...
I haven't watched it yet. Have they totally emasculated Hulk yet? He's one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe...how's he doing so far?
they need to start setting up the next villain if somebody didn’t watch Loki, then they’d have got nothing so far don’t give a damn about the irrelevant happenings of shows like Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, and She-Hulk When will all this filler end?
They are just trying to introduce the trash they'll be pushing as the "New Avengers". I'm sure everyone will cheer for She-Hulk, Echo, Kamala Kahn, Ironheart, and Black Panther's sister just as much as they did for the real Avengers.
@Reeko @Bobbythegreat Watching blade trilogy Even though the last one was bad, blade was still cool. I hope marvel and Disney don’t make him a gay lesbian and non binary Black woman And then add a female male blade who is smarter and better than him
Phase Five movies look like warm beer compared to what we got this year. I wouldn't expect much until 2024 unless you like "experimental" stuff. The shows are just a funnel for MCU movies and hours to watch in their D+ catalogue. If Disney Plus were described as a flywheel, it would be: Draw people in with blockbuster MCU/Star Wars/animated Disney movies Make shows with movie budgets as tentpoles for drawing in viewers much like how HBO made their shows different than just TV Add hours of filler time to justify subscribing for a year over binge watching for three months, then cancelling for the rest of the year. Create hooks to those shows where future movies bank off of the hours watched on D+...The way Doctor Strange started wouldn't make half as much sense without knowing about Wandavision
I liked episode 2. Felt like an old xmen cartoon. But do keep in mind I don't go into these shows thinking they should be as good as The Godfather like yall bozos, lulz. But this week's What We Do in the Shadows STILL wins.
