I don't think that's the right dance for this type of win. It's a little more hectic than that. I'm going with:
NewWas popping in and out hoping for a Verlander no hitter watch but saw stanek come in for the 7th, not saying it was a bad decision to pull Verlander but thought it was weird would yall have allowed Verlander to continue in attempting to go for it or do yall understand y he was pulled
Apparently, the radio guys gave Dubon player of the game. I guess because he drove in the first run, but not really a good choice. Budweiser named Justin Verlander player of the game. Much better choice. IMO, 50/50 between JV and Bregman.
Totally didn't even look at pitch count I'm sure it was justified but would have liked to at least give him a shot
Clicks pitching signings/evaluations have been a total wash. The type of money we been throwing around for guys like Odo, Baez, and Neris could of got us one hell of an upgrade in the outfield.
I hope we can sign Brandon Nimmo in FA. Lefty bat, center fielder, can slide to left once one of the young guys is ready.
Cease with a huge loss today as well as hurting his ERA JV firmly ahead of anyone for the Cy Young after tonight JV 16-3 1.87 era 0.85 WHIP, 148 K, 149 IP Cease 12-6 2.27 era 1.17 WHIP, 182 K, 139 IP McClanahan 11-5 2.29 era 0.86 WHIP, 173 K, 141 IP Going back to a 5 man rotation will give JV 1 extra start this season (38 games left, 7 more starts), which will allow him to push towards the 200 inning and 200 K mark, both extremely meaningful in the MVP conversation. Getting to 20 wins would be great if the other guys end up no better than 15 wins. That extra start might be the difference there.
