Kevin Durant requests a trade out of Brooklyn!!!

34 year old, frequently injured superstar that hasn't been able to lead a team out of the first round even with massive talent around him. Media were wildly unfair blaming Harden and framing every loss or incident as solely directly at his feet. The shine is off Durant no matter how good he is. I guarantee you on the precipice of having to gut a team to acquire him this is not like PG13 going to LAC for GMs. Everyone knows this is Durant's last contract and they are hedging what they are buying on a declining scale of probably two years of value in the deal. Brooklyn should be very concerned about playing hardball with Durant and dragging out this poison over the season. If he does anything close to Simmons they can only drastically degrade his value into something akin to how we look at Kyrie right now. Just like with trading Harden that deal was there long before the season started and after Harden showed off in the first game and dogged the rest it was painfully obvious you are not going to win these games with players. Even Simmons got what he wanted without knowing how much he settled with 76ers. Morey managed to luck out with that hot potato. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I assume the new CBA will have extreme measures to curb this behavior.

 

Of all playoff contenders, Hawks have the most assets to offer for KD.

 

Yeah. It's weird to me that the Nets aren't acting like they need to move him immediately. At his age he actually loses value with every day that passes. And if you go into the season and he actually plays, heaven forbid he get injured. They'll be all the way up **** creek. Not that I'm not here for that.

Heck, they'll probably go out after games together, hit the sauce, and tell each other how miserable their lives are. All while collecting 10's of millions of dollars a year driving the fans of the club cursed with having the pair absolutely crazy. Or FRP in 2023, 2024, 2028 and pick swaps every other year + a shyte load of SRP.

Plus Collins and Hunter.

 

The Nets getting control of their future back+ a couple assets may seriously be there best move.

This is a pretty reasonable trade

 

I am hoping for a trade like this more next offseason.

Have a season to evaluate the PG, SF, and C position. Get another top 10 pick (to keep or trade), have the Bucks pick, have cap space, and still have the Nets assets, lastly you can see if the Nets do end up missing the playoffs this season and have that extra chance they end up with a top 4 pick as well.

 

After Harden trades, NBA teams getting stingier giving up assets.

Even crap organizations like Knicks playing it tight.

Toppin + Fournier + 2 FRP + $$ only for young All Star Spida Mitchell.

Interesting twist. Guess KD, Kyrie and Ben will try to blend their talents and give it a try at least one more year. We'll see how healthy they can stay.

 

Ben Simmons is the fragile key to success. He hasn't played for so long. The Nets may implode during this upcoming season. Kyrie may want to stay for money. KD is likely to blow his gasket.
