I'm so irrationally angry for a game in August. I seriously need some ****ing counseling. This isn't normal.
I didn't say we got swept. We definitely got smoked and went out with a whimper on our home field as usual.
*Yes*we*still*have*our*2017*World*Series*win*folks*! ****** CYA ****** **** 2017 **** WORLD **** SERIES **** CHAMPS **** !!!!!
Stanek was trying to be Keuchel out there... Not sure why a guy who can throw over 100 has a single pitch over 95... Crazy thought... how about you change the speeds and locations of your pitches?
I turned it off when I saw Pressley wasn’t coming out for a second inning. Pretty frustrating to see that decision, which I considered tantamount to throwing the game. Our bats, though. Dang. Everyone has a bad night at the plate now and then, but we had a bonafide cluster tonight. Little concerned about Mancini, why he was swinging at and wildly missing some really bad pitches.
Offense gives me ‘98 vibes and the best bullpen in baseball isn’t looking like it. Bring on the Dodgers in the WS; I want no part of the Braves.
Doesn't bother me... it's in the past. We broke the braves garbage over 15 years ago... They are just another team. We didn't play well, that is why we lost. It was completely avoidable... guys didn't execute pitches and Yordan wasn't there to clean things up...
I feel like I've reached that point. Like the Astros, I may be a little burnt out. It's hard, because no matter how many games we win I know it won't mean **** unless we deliver, and I mean really deliver, in October.
This is the first roadtrip this season that the Astros have lost. We're just not used to losing much so of course it stings more right now.
None of these guys actually have a track record of being really good except Pressly, and I don't love him in the closer role - not trying to open that can of worms again. The Stros BP is tantamount to the Yankees starters. High overachievers for the large part of the year but it all came crashing back to earth eventually. I'm not saying guys can't have career years, but you cant rely on multiple guys keeping up that pace over the course of a brutally long regular season and fickle-ass postseason.
