I agree as well ! The Stros are good at being loyal to their players and I understand that but these guys are well paid to produce. I love Maldi but he just doesn’t have the bat that Vasquez has and the Stros need offense. Same for Yuli I love the guy but Mancini should be the everyday 1st baseman.
You do know loyalty is why the Astros have been who they are since 2015? The Astros don't need offense right now. In the playoffs? Yes. The loyalty now will pay off later.
So, All his knowledge and knowledge means nothing because he lost in 2 WS? Does the fact he won as a player, boost his knowlege and perspective?
All of Alvarez’s medical tests came back “normal,” according to the Astros. A team spokesman said Alvarez could not address the media prior to Saturday’s game due to the treatment he was receiving at the ballpark. “He’s better,” manager Dusty Baker said Saturday. “We still have to watch him. He’s still under (something) similar to a concussion protocol. You don’t want him to maybe fall out. They couldn’t find anything, but that don’t mean nothing’s wrong. We’re just going to wait today, see how he is tomorrow.” Alvarez did not start Saturday’s game against the Braves, but the Astros did keep him on their active roster. Baker did not answer whether Alvarez would be available to play Saturday. He said Alvarez could “probably” serve as the designated hitter Sunday “if he’s feeling all right.” Baker said doctors could not determine what caused the 25-year-old Alvarez to feel short of breath. The manager said Alvarez began to feel uneasy while running the bases during Friday’s game, but Alvarez struck out in each of the two at-bats he took. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...lvarez-back-after-hospital-visit-17387118.php
The world is full of complainers. But the fact is, nothing comes with a guarantee. I don't care if you're the Pope of Rome, President of the United States, or even Man of the Year—something can always go wrong. And go ahead, complain, tell your problems to your neighbor, ask for help—watch him fly. Now in Russia, they got it mapped out so that everyone pulls for everyone else—that's the theory, anyway. But what I know about is Texas...And down here... you're on your own.
Well, the strategy seems simple tonight. Don't let Atlanta score or strike out anyone. Make them and their fans go smokeless for once.
Loyalty is just a word in sports, we may have home grown successful team but for every bregman altuve Alvarez there's a Correa springer it's not about loyalty it's more about locking them up b4 they see free agency if that makes sense
