Trump Aide: "Sir, we found out who the mole is. Brace yourself, it's Eric."

Trump: "Who the hell is Eric?"

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

    - Jean-Paul Sartre in 1945

Does this not describe the republican party and their cult members?

Judge believes the warrant was justified because he signed it. The affidavit isn't going to change that, it's a question of whether or not releasing it would have an impact on the case or national security.

I agree. But I’m guessing they’re willing to do it for safety reasons.

If the judge rubber stamped a warrant and the affidavit does not justify the warrant, releasing it would reflect poorly on the judge and he might not want to be subjected to that scrutiny.

DOJ arguing the warrant is too sensitive to release while at the same time leaking details of it to the press left and right.

seems fair though right? I mean if ol Trumpy is gonna roll out multiple dog ate my homework claims, why not?
It’s not like courts regularly unseal afffidavits underlying search warrants. Or are they all anti trump crooks? It’s hard for me to keep all this straight.

Do you really thing a judge would just rubber stamp a warrant to search the residence of a former POTUS? You don't think the judge fully understands the implications and importance of such a request and would want to make sure that everything is in order first?

Of course he thinks a judge would rubber stamp a warrant to get Trump. He's a member of the, "poor Trump is so maligned" group.

Do you mean the affidavit? Because the warrant was already released.

Well he just gave the ok to release part of the affidavit. So your theory isn't holding.
