The player option is interesting. Give Lebron leverage to try and get the Lakers to draft Bronny.

He was always going to keep his options open while also staying in LA with the intention of playing with Bronny one day as his main goal

I wonder if that is what his son really wants. Oh, if it is more for Lebron’s legacy bs

from the looks of it, him and bronny definitely have that bond so I'd lean towards both of them wanting it. Especially with how basically impossible thats been in the history of the game

It's probably smart financially. could set his son up for life with his own money/endorsements regardless of how good or not good he is.

Why wouldn’t he want that? Especially since no father/son combo has played in the NBA at the same time let alone same team. If it happens it’s not like LeBron is gonna be around forever anyways.

More like his family will be set up for the next 10+ generations.

What a weird day for Julius Erving.
Has his own number perma-retired from every team... for another player's legacy, and sees once again that he played in the wrong era by just a couple of decades. Weird. He really did help grow the popularity of the L a great deal, even though we credit Magic, Larry, and Michael.

Jennie Buss was asking for a commitment from Lebron before the Lakers committed to giving up assets for Kyrie. This is likely a precursor to a trade,

I heard that family wealth usually is squandered by the 3rd generation.

Can’t confirm but I could see that in other cases. If future James generations acquire even a hint of his genes/traits whether it be athletic gift/talent, business acumen/work ethic/frugalness they’ll be fine.

He’s built such an empire it would be hard to **** it all up before many many generations down the road especially when his wealth/estate is spread out amongst his children, future grand children and their seeds through trusts etc. as opposed to one or two people inheriting everything and making a billion bad decisions.

History has seen plenty of uber wealthy families trick it all away.

Lebron plays 1 year deals till his very mediocre son gets drafted in the second round. Lebron signs with any team who drafts him. Plays 1 year and calls it quits.

Lebron buys the Vegas franchise and finds a way to get his kids and all Klutch players there.
