He's so ridiculous defending Trump I admit he's a little entertaining. At least he's not like the little juvenile acting bully men who get entertainment insulting and trolling other posters with memes and snide comments, and tagging each other with no real thoughts of their own.
This morning I was talking to a man who had a very large influence in my life. He is a retired USMC major who lost half his leg in Vietnam. I was good friends with his sons growing up and he used to intimidate me a lot. Now after knowing many people my age and younger who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. I understand him more. It’s easy to blame things in previous generations but there is a lot that is similar and really universal between generations.
Did Norah O'Donnell just get Dan Rather'd? I hope so. Sad, really. I saw her in an FBO several years ago and thought to myself (after a couple of tequilas) that I might fancy some quick relations with her. A gesture that I would view as more of a courtesy and self-esteem builder for her, naturally.
Wow! You really think highly of yourself. That's very Trump like, especially the way you act like women are beneath you. No wonder you like him so much. SMH
He's getting the reaction that he wants. Imagine if zero people replied to him. Do you think he would still play this shtick? His desire is attention. His desire is to believe he successfully "triggered' someone. Posters like him biggest fear is being ignored.
People theorizing that Trump stole away secret documents to use as leverage or a bribe are giving him too much credit, I think. The more likely explanation was the Trump White House was a disorganized mess, and this whole thing can be attributed to simple carelessness and incompetence while distracted with trying to overturn the election. Justice Dept. Objects to Releasing Affidavit Used to Search Trump’s Home - The New York Times (nytimes.com) ... At least one lawyer for Mr. Trump signed a written statement in June asserting that all material marked as classified and held in boxes in a storage area at Mar-a-Lago had been returned to the government, four people with knowledge of the document said. Even as the former president counterattacked, new details emerged of how Mr. Trump and his inner circle flouted the norms, and possibly the laws, governing their handling of government records. According to two people with knowledge of the situation, Mr. Trump and his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, the man who oversaw presidential records in the chaotic closing days of the administration, failed to organize an effort to collect, box and deliver materials to the National Archives — as prior presidents, and Mr. Trump’s own vice president, Mike Pence, did. Instead, they often focused on settling political grievances and personal grudges, they said. In the weeks leading up to Mr. Trump’s departure from the White House, officials discussed what to do about material that he had at various points taken up to the residence and that needed to be properly stored and returned. By then, the staff secretary, Derek Lyons, known for trying to keep systems in place, had left the administration. Mr. Meadows said he would address such issues, according to a senior administration official. While all this was happening, a very different scenario was playing out just across West Executive Avenue, in Mr. Pence’s less frenetic office. As Mr. Trump sought to hold on to power, two of Mr. Pence’s senior aides — Marc Short, his chief of staff, and Greg Jacob, his counsel — indexed and boxed all of his government papers, according to three former officials with knowledge of the work. Mr. Jacob spent the bulk of his final few days in government preparing the final boxes, with the goal of ensuring that Mr. Pence left office without a single paper that did not belong to him, one of the officials said.
Yeah, agree. Decided to put him on ignore after those last two posts he made degrading women. Too Trump like for me to stomach.
Can we get the clip? Honestly would be very surprised if a Fox News host suggesting that Trump might have kept the classified documents as leverage for financial gain. Fox News having a host say that would be crazy. Always I pray for the safety of that host if he said that.
At this point, I am not going to pretend what was found or why the DOJ went looking for it besides there were classified documents that were not supposed to be there. Wether they were personal mementos or national secrets being sold to Saudis, I don't think we are going to be given any more information than needed.
Haven't seen a clip but have seen the quote this may be talking about and it's a little bit different than the tweet implies. Fox News Host Floats Possibility Trump Tried to 'Sell' Classified Documents (msn.com) It's more of the, well, He didn't take the documents but if he did take the classified document, is it really that bad? defense
I wouldn’t put it past Trump to have actually had classified documents pertaining to nuclear weapons among other things…will be an interesting next couple of weeks
They are certainly rats. I don't know what will happen to Trump as far as indictments or convictions. Maybe nothing, maybe jail time. There is no way to tell right now. But the fact that so many staunch (former) supporters are turning on him, might not be a good sign for his chances.
Someone with Trump's policies who isn't Trump... so pretty much any standard establishment republican over the last 25 years? The idea that he brought something new to the table policy-wise is such a farce.
