He’s definitely better than Boban, if both he and Chriss make the team we'll at least have a few serviceable bigs for the games Sengun is in foul trouble.
I think he's better than Chriss. I'd waive Chriss before Bruno and Boban. Funny, both WCS and Chriss were lottery picks (#6 and #8 respectively) in consecutive years by the Kings, although Chriss was traded immediately.
Trade parts for Hartenstein. Maybe on overstock.com? We need a taller roster. Get Harty/WCS/Bruno at C; play Alperen at the point-PF position; Jabari 3; Jalen 2; and my kingdom for a PG.
Somebody saw something in this guy to draft him as high as he went. Whatever that is, I suppose its worth trying to rekindle. He could be Willie Davis or Willie Wonka.
I’d keep whichever two out of Garuba, Boban, Bruno, WCS, Chriss that’s closest to: - training well - hitting a 3 and - playing any kind of defense I think it will be Garuba and Bruno.
While Cauley-Stein's career has been disappointing so far, the silver lining is he still has whatever skill, potential, and size that made him a sixth pick. Maybe we can unlock the next level.
this thread reminds me of how even up until 2021, there were still people on here thinking we should be giving Anthony Bennett a chance
Only 39 days left now. God willing there will be only 38 posts left in this thread just counting down each day until we have something better to talk about.
KPJ will have to adapt his game to get the best out of WCS. It will be good to see Bruno Fernando and WCS fighting out to make the team. PS: I'm getting more hopeful about Sengun. He's working hard on defense.
Yes, like a construction foreman going job to job....they call on the guys that have helped them in the past when they were successful. In 19/20 Silas was successful running the top offense in the NBA and we knew he would be calling on some of those players. I'm sure he would rather have Doncic, Dwight Powell and Seth Curry.....but got WCS, Boban and Trey Burke. ________________ I was against Sengun getting starter minutes last season as we saw his 3-pt % fall off the cliff after 20 games while playing a mere 18 minutes coming off the bench. He should be better equipped to handle an increase in minutes this season. I'm guessing 28 minutes. I can see him running the Olynyk role at the top of the key.....but that 3-pt shot has to be respectable in order for it to work. People were afraid of Olynyk shooting and hitting the 3. Played him close. That helped provide passing lanes a be the hub of the offense. Sengun needs to be that same threat from 3 or opponents will just play off of him and look for the pass. Good help defenders like Tari, Jabari, Garuba, Bruno are going to help Sengun tremendously as team pull him out on the perimeter vs smaller quicker players in mismatches.
lol, c'mon man, I'm just trying to find something positive in this move... No reason for Thabeet-down...lol
That strategy paid off so well for us with Hasheem Thabeet. And Jonny Flynn, Terrence Williams, etc. The real question is: Willie Defend?
