lol I’m watching this clip now and as always Bill is making a lot of sense here.

You guys should go back and watch your favorite films even the raunchiest and you'll find 'wokism' in all of them, most of them.


Walter White Jr spoke on wishing more opportunities for handicapped people and that was 2010.

It would have to be a white girl that can ball like Cayleigh. Her boyfriend would have to be a Boricua trying to get into a Wordle contest and she would argue that she can't go into Crenshaw to play with Lizzie but Latinos can. That's reverse racism. I would definitely not watch at the theater if the remake of White Women Can' Eurostep went all female and no originality. I hated the Ghostbusters all women because it all felt forced. Set It Off went all female cast following the release of Dead presidentz a year ealier, both films were extremely 'woke' for the right reason.

 

I love and respect any Democrat that blasts wokeism …Bill is a perfect example- he’s very far left but I can’t help but feel a connection.. how could you not ? We are all in being against it regardless of politics and it’s a beautiful thing to find commonality

Agree I think people can be overboard but anything that feels forced..you know it when you see it,… that’s where you draw the line and that’s a perfect example

 

She isn't blasting wokism, she is wokism. You just don't realize it.

I hate wokism, which to me is virtue signaling, something Tulsi does so well she fools more people on the right. You're being played.

I'm annoyed by a lot of recent trends. Im not Latinx for example. That bugs the **** out of me but when it comes to hispanics represented on film and television, quite frankly it's like Hollywood goes out of its way to ignore us until recently. I believe even Chris Rock had a bit about it. So I'm saying I understand Leguizamo here even if things are moving in the right direction.

 

It’s hard for me to disagree with most of the points he is making here.

But I think some examples are less well thought out than others. I think it’s good for actors to defer to trans actors who are trying to break in to the industry when up for roles depicting trans characters. Maher asks whether it would be right to limit trans actors to only playing trans roles, but I don’t that follows.

I agree with Bill Maher on this one. I dont always agree with his takes, but probably 80%+ I do.

By the way, Bill Maher was canceled from ABC after 9/11 for saying it's a mistake to call the hijackers who flew planes into buildings "cowards" while we lob missiles from afar at our enemies. What's your stance on that one?
