Let's be grateful Dusty hasn't had the idea to DH Maldy yet.

Or may jump start his development if they do well.

I think you misunderstand how that number works.

disagree. The club has been working him quite a bit in left field. Haven’t heard about him getting the same type of reps at first.

With Peña and Altuve being guys that can be wild with their throws - you don’t just throw him out there.

I think 2.5 months with regular playing time is a good sample size.

Bottom line is there is a bigger disparity in Mancini vs yuli batting than there is between the two defensively.

starting Yuli over Mancini at 1st base should not happen anymore unless it’s a rest day for Mancini. Yuli ranks very average in defense this year. His better days are behind him. He can still help just not as an everyday starting 1st baseman. Mancini is the better player. Dusty knows this too but he has to do it on his time and no one elses.

I feel good about Lance - a lot. Adrenalin and pitching at home should carry us a W. I'm worry about re-injury.

wouldn’t be just throwing mancini out there. He’s played plenty of 1b in his career. He has played it well this year too.

Not a bad lineup tonight except batting Yuli second instead of Pena. Baby steps for Dusty. I’ll take it. Can’t play Diaz everyday because he is so injury prone. The post season lineup against most everyday should be:

    Altuve 2b
    Pena SS
    Alvarez DH
    Bregman 3b
    Tucker RF
    Mancini 1b
    Diaz lf
    McCormick cf
    Machete/Vazquez c

I'm guessing Chas either has 2 homers and a great defensive play or completely sucks today.
