Pretty much. They have the easiest remaining schedule in MLB. https://www.tankathon.com/mlb/remaining_schedule_strength
What exactly was Mancini going to do out there tonight? Yuli knock in a run and saved a run tonight. Diaz had 2 hits and a run scored. Some of you have no sense of baseball.
I'm very happy about the outcome of tonights games This is easily the most bizarre Astros team I have ever watched. I don't know if I'm just used to such a suffocating offense, but so many things about this team will make you think "eh, maybe they just don't have it", but then you look up, and they have a stellar record and are on top of the AL. The pitching overall has been tremendous, they play above average defense even if it's not as great as years past, the offense comes and goes, but they generally just keep on winning. With an OF that half the time is trotting out there with Chazzy Fizz, Dubon, Michael Myers, or some random combination of two of them. Wild.
Speaking of defense there were two plays that Peña made tonight that only Peña makes. The tag out for the 3rd out back to 1st and then getting in on such a hard hit and short fly out. Just a phenomenal athlete. Doesn’t make up for errors to date but those plays were huge tonight.
For sure, he makes some weird errors on routine plays but then makes plays that pretty much nobody else can make, so it more than evens out. Plus, he'll get better with seasoning on not committing dumb errors.
It's more of his throws. Even today, one of his routine throws to Yuli was off line and took Yuli into the runner and off the bag.
He shouldn't be down. I thought he pitched well. only 1 run earned as I'm not counting the 7th. He should have never been in there but they wanted to squeeze another inning with the diluted bullpen arms
