Anything less that a sweep with humiliating margins of victory will be a disappointment.

No Mancini. Again. You just traded for this dude and Dusty refuses to play him consistently. I don't get it.

Gurriel is in the lineup? But he had 3 hits yesterday.

Why wouldn’t you play Mancini? We are going up against the best team ever constructed in MLB. We need all the help we can get.

Yuli' had 3 hits yesterday. He was going to play today. Diaz is on a hot streak. Yordan is the DH. Mancini will get his time, but it is not like he is tearing the cover off the ball.

Hard to tear the cover off the ball if you play every 5 days.

Can we put Yuli in left and put Mancini at first?

He wasn't tearing the cover off the ball in B-More this season. Mancini is Yuli' and Brantley insurance. Everyone wants to play the new toy, however, if your current guys are playing better at the moment...Dusty is not going to change it.

I want to see Mancini...but Im not going off the deep end because he is not playing right now.

Yuli can play 3rd and you can play Bregman at SS.

Mancini/Vazquez are “depth pieces” and “We trust Dusty to put the best lineups out there every day over the long haul to make sure we’re in position to win the World Series.” — James Click

While I also wonder about Mancini, I think a bigger question is why is Dubon even on the roster? If he's needed as a fourth OF, fine, but his plate appearances should be going to Chas to get him ready for the playoffs.

Who in the minors would you replace him with? He's on the roster because of his versatility to play multiple IF/OF positions and he doesn't strike out much.

    Maldonado last 23 games:

    .288 BA
    5 HR
    19 RBI
    .891 OPS

I'm going to guess our most productive hitter since July 7.

He can also play SS and 2nd base. That is why he is on the roster.
