    I'm sure. A live game we would not be able to stream a game illegally. It wouldn't require that for any re-watch we're currently doing.

    I am curious how this will work with a live game....and the lack of people with a NBA League pass sub....it is going to be like wack a mole for them.

    Since you have to log in with Playback, and they verify TV providers, just looks like they will handle who can join a Live Game watch party and who can’t. So expect ESPN and TNT games to have a lot more people able to join the watch party.

    I should also say that not having a subscription for specific live TV game only means the game stream within the watch party won’t play. You can still join to use chat and the “stage”, while streaming the game separately on your desktop or watching it on TV.

    For instance, I plan to be watching the game on my big TV with DVR functions while doing the watch party on my iPad.
