You would love for them to find nothing. It's like a sickness.

The part that intrigues me is that a warrant must also describe with "particularity" the location and nature of the search. This requirement is meant to prevent a law officer from using a warrant to conduct a search that goes beyond the parameters of their request. Put simply: Law enforcement officers should not search a location or individual that's not listed in the warrant.

regarding specificity, if the search warrant which led to the raid did not specifically address the safe then that’s a legality problem in itself. Maybe it does but I find it interesting that reports are the lawyers weren’t allowed inside and a request that cameras be turned off was of course denied …what did the FBI want to hide by having cameras cut off? .. Smartly the lawyers did not comply on that as it was NOT required. This is not going to play out well for the government. The Hail Mary pass to get Trump once and for all is likely a game ending interception instead.

OR...and work with me here...the "lawyers weren't allowed to watch" will turn out to be the same as "Republican election workers weren't allowed to watch!" when what really happened was Republican election workers were required to honor the rule about staying outside the glass to observe counting and threw a fit. We don't know what happened in this search because the only account we have is from an obviously biased source.

Remind me how many indictments were for Russian collusion? I certainly hope you do realize that the entire thing was fabricated out of thin air. Just because they found other crimes while investigating based on a made up issue does not make the initial reason for the investigation have any actual factual basis.

Maybe if his butt buddies would stop protecting him and actually hold him accountable......

Manafort just confirmed their was collusion with Russia BTW.....if you pay attention.

Just to refresh, Mueller said a sitting president could not be indicted but he also said there was enough evidence to charge Trump once he left office....so....uh...yeah.

Manafort as admitted to handing information to Russian assets

The factual basis was that Trumps family met with Russian agents in Trump tower and Trump publicly called for Russia to help in during the campaign.

If the resulting charges are for mishandling classified documents, I'll be annoyed and disappointed. Sure, ex-presidents shouldn't be above the law, but I doubt it's really worth this shock to the body politic to go after an ex-President over a paper offense. If the seized papers actually constitute evidence for some other offense they can bring graver charges for -- say regarding the subversion of the 2020 election -- then this raid will have been worth the trouble.

I've made a similar argument in the past regarding the Mueller investigation -- I don't want ticky-tack charges. I'm willing to overlook Trump's more pedestrian violations of the public trust. But the big stuff -- conspiring with Russia, blackmailing foreign leaders for personal benefit, subverting democracy -- must be prosecuted if the evidence can be brought, regardless of how much trouble it causes.

So would you prosecute Trump now for colluding with Russia during 2016? Now that Manafort admitted they did?

This could all be addressed by Trump making the warrant public.

The "entire thing". Really? Do you mean that evidence documented in the Mueller Report pointing to Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election with cooperation from Trump campaigners is a total fabrication? Or do you just disagree with that being labeled as "collusion"?

When you say "made up issue" -- what do you mean? That concern over Russian interference in the 2016 election was totally unsubstantiated? Or are you referring to something more narrow than that?

You do understand that Trump's campaign manager admitted handing over confidential information to a Russian intelligence officer, right?

Funny he was convicted of financial crimes rather than anything to do with Russian collusion. Add to that there was zero evidence of Trump colluding with Russia.

I don't think Trump even wants to actually be president again he can make more money under the radar by just acting like he does, it's the long con.

This is not about power anymore it's about straight cash homie.

He admitted handing over confidential information to a Russian intelligence officer. That is fact. He has admitted it.

The Dossier was not fabricated and it sounds like there is a misunderstanding of what an intelligence dossier actually is.

I think the basic run down of the Russia thing is:

    1) A crime by Trump could not be proven (and "collusion" is not a crime to begin with so weird goal post)
    2) Homeboy, and especially his crew, were way too thick and comfy with a lot of unsavory Russian nationals

That entire investigation, as partisan as it was, did tell us a lot of important things about the state of the Presidency that were unsettling at best.

    LOL.

You are very selective when you think facts are needed.

    Serious statement.
