If I am New Orleans no way I trade Ingram for Durant.

The Nets are out of their minds if they think these teams will trade 4-5 picks for 34 yr old Durant.

Looks like Durant figured out the real problem was Kyrie and the Nets and not Harden.

I'd watch KD & Beard against Curry - that should be a tantilizing entertainment in terms of storylines.

And then I'd be looking forward to some sort of a lock out because owners are going to want some changes where players forcing trades will have to suffer for it financially or stay put.

Which fanbase/owner is going to feel good about whimsical flakiness by "top 20" players who promised their services and signed a contract. People buy season tickets, advertisement rights, role players, some (not named Tillman) pay luxury tax - a whole bunch of financial obligations, not to mention emotional ones (where certain posters have been losing their minds over such decisions) - and these grown children go and say more or less "um, I don't like here no more. Trade me, whatever the cost or I'll stink the place up and you'll lose even more money."

It's funny that Harden is now literally being called an "expert" in forcing trades. Nice legacy for the best offensive player of all time.

I mean Harden didn't exactly redeem himself in Philly. But yes Kyrie really was the problem. Unfortunately, they picked one of three teams with a vaccination requirement. It's crazy that they could've been on 27 other teams and the season might have gone completely different.

I don't like the overall vibe of KD in green. It feels wrong. He belongs in Brooklyn or DC, but neither appears to be on the table. Brooklyn has to move on though.

KD is nothing more than Kyrie's mouth piece

    “Kevin Durant Headed Towards Holdout”

Kevin Durant didn't back off his trade request during a recent meeting with Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai. That meeting may have also been Durant's last interaction with the Nets for a while.

Once considered unlikely, it's now believed Durant is heading towards holding out if he's not traded. Many believed Durant's love of basketball would have him in camp, but his insistence that he be traded now seems to be leading towards a holdout.

Durant was reportedly paid 25% of his 2022-23 salary on July 1, with another 25% due on October 1. However, should he hold out, Durant will likely be fined the maximum amount for any time missed.

Lol this it great. Hopefully he and Kyrie holdout and the Nets lose all their leverage and have to trade them for just FRPs and pupu platters. Hopefully the holdouts drag on until at least the trade deadline.

Yep. Their pick this year is almost worthless to us BUT if they are the 7th or 8th worst team in the league, our lotto hopes for top picks get a boost.

What did Harden need to redeem in Philly?

How could he have redeemed himself in your mind?

I'd have mental issues too if a team I left, replaced me with Andrew Wiggins and still won a chip.
Can't have a repeat of that - got to do operation codenamed "snake 2.0" to advance to at least second round. My thin skinned self can't take another embarrassment of such magnitude! And Kyrie can only be relied on in finals (stateside finals at that)!

If the Nets are gonna hold their nuts and risk sucking then this is the year to do it.

This really would be brilliant and i hope he does it, but I doubt Rich Kleiman would allow KD to go this direction. KD is likely going to get Nike extensions, and there may be some language in his contract around this for multiple reasons. KD also is heavily involved in venture capital deals and pissing off the Chinese may exclude him from a lot of deals goin forward. Alll of this is not worth a third ring when hes got maybe 3 years left of good basketball. Both Harden and KD will be billionaires fairly easily once they retire, and this type of move would cost KD hundreds of millions over time.
