I don't want to put too much stock into this, but aside from his first start, the pitchers blow when Vazquez catches (I know he didn't start tonight). Maton sucks. Also really moronic to use him there. This weak ass lineup won't even get 1 back in the bottom half, not that it matters. Go win tomorrow and whatever I guess, but the blown opportunities are frustrating af.
Everyone knows the Astros destiny is to lose to another mediocre NL East team that goes on a massive tear in August and September. This year looks like Philly.
Or Seth Martinez, or Will Smith, or Rafael Montero. Abreu got 2 strikeouts, but, he put 2 men on, and, most importantly, allowed all 3 inherited runners to score. His job was to strand them to keep it within reach and he failed.
Dusty loves going to Maton first. If Dusty was managing then it's likely Maton would have already been used prior to extra innings....and maybe there wouldn't have been extras.
