Time for Yordan to break a long one.

I decided to look it up:

Mancini's is an outright UPGRADE over Gurriel on DEFENSE

The only position where it is acceptable to sacrifice offense for defense is C. Maybe SS and CF, but that's it. If you want him THAT bad you can always put him in as a defensive sub.

Click probably wants to tread lightly right now with dictating to Dusty the lineup but I think World Series win or not, Dusty is sealing his fate as manager of this team after this year. There appears to be a disconnect between Click and Dusty. Click shouldn't worry about stroking Baker's ego especially heading into the playoffs.

I thought Myles was going to be the last Straw.

If the Astros win the WS or even make the WS Dusty is safe. Hopefully we win and he retires. If he doesn’t make the WS he will be fired.

Very quietly, Pena has been abysmal since the All Star Break. Slashing .183/.213/.310 (OPS of 0.523) with only 2 homers.

That's what I'm hoping, the team wins and he retires. Really I'm hoping he retires regardless.

    Rookie Wall.

Hopefully he picks it back up, don't want to have to sacrifice his defense and replace it with Diaz at short.

I feel like having a rookie at SS is going to bite us in the playoffs

I get that, but if he is a liability at the plate, and Diaz is hitting well, go with the better bat going into and through the playoffs. Still time for him to get back on track, but there is a better option at shortstop and it is Diaz, right now.

Isn't Baker on a one year contract? No need to fire, just not resign.
