Gurriel up to 5 LOB across his second and third at bats. Average slowly creeping back down again. What is the point of trading for guys if you refuse to play them?
What do you think? Diaz Grand slam yesterday, he needs rest today. Maybe he thinks playing their weaknesses is a good thing.
This is a question that is currently stumping young ones, old ones, and scholars everywhere. Good Ol Dusty.
Yuli's swing is a one-trick pony at this point. Even the most average pitcher can induce a weak grounder or pop-up from him with RISP. This is purely on Dusty being a stubborn ass old man, and not incorporating Mancini into the game plan more consistently. I had hope that we'd actually be able to keep Trey past this season, but I sincerely doubt he'd want to stay if Dusty continues to pull this bullshit.
I don't want to hear anything about how Yuli's defense was gold-glove caliber last year to justify his dismal hitting.
