I thought I did? I am in Idaho. I don't have any inside insight. I just watch the games. When the camera shows him he is not smiling not talking with the other guys. Have not seen him high fiving with other guys after homeruns.
Was incredibly pissy when traded and his press conference was like a hostage video. Maybe that’s just how he is, but might snd day different compared to Mancini.
brantley and his singles are a nice compliment to the others in the lineup when they are hitting. If everyone else is cold (and it happens a lot) it doesn’t matter what Brantley does.
I think it is possible you are right, and I think it is too soon to jump to this conclusion. I also think, if it doesn’t work, it’s because Vazquez is in a FA contract push, and sitting on the bench pisses him off. So we may have traded Jake Vazquez for Christian Odorizzi.
No promises but I might have a pair of free tickets (or maybe even two pair of free tickets) to Thursday's day game at 1:05 against the Rangers. Let me know now if you are interested (free- good seats as multiple people on here have gone) and I can let you know by about 11:00 am on Thursday day of game.
Are we thinking Click just is praying that Jake gets back to his old self and that's why he's running him out there every night?
At this point I think it’s safe to assume they view Meyers’ issues as either injury related (that they expect him to be able to work through and be fully healthy/productive by the playoffs) or rust related (since his season got such a late start and they expect him to shake the rust off and be fully healthy/productive by the playoffs). Bottom line is that if Meyers still ain’t right by the playoffs then that’s a mark against the front office since they didn’t address CF at the deadline.
I think the day-to-day lineups are Dusty's However, I do think that others in the organization including Click determine the long term plan. I think they realize that a HEALTHY Jake is the best CF option since they had no success at the trade deadline. Furthermore, I think their HOPE is that Jake progresses to return to Jake from 2021 before the playoffs. I think if more rest or more rehab is likely to fix him they would be doing that. I bet they keep rolling him out and hoping for progress. If he makes it - great he's the playoff CF If not then Chas is the playoff CF and some combination of Yordan and Diaz play LF with Mancini splitting time at DH and 1B. That's how I see it.
