Documents don't have to be classified. They belong to the archives. There was also testimony that he had been burning documents in a fireplace. He was also being uncooperative in previous correspondence.

I don't have all of the information but it hardly seems like an abuse of power.

 

We all know his day is ruined and possibly his whole week. Probably holding back the tears at this moment like this guy.

 

I get it. But you cited him flushing his own notes down the toilet as partial justification for the search warrant on his home. I am only repeating that others have said a less obnoxious move on the part of the government would have been to issue a subpoena

Earlier I mentioned testimony of him burning documents. But that's a pretty fine line to suggest that he would flush personal notes (which might also be classified) but wouldn't dare to flush printed material. He also lied about Haberman's article when she mentioned him flushing documents down the toilet. So he wasn't being honest and showed that he wasn't trustworthy regarding documents. He has challenged almost every subpoena he's been issued in other cases. The archives had been in communication with him, and apparently he wasn't being cooperative.

 

(A Whataboutism Aside: We can't even get a consensus condemnation of police killing non-suspects during a no-knock raid. And people are crying about a search warrant to collect documents?)

In your defense @Squirtle is wrong. You are not a moron or dumb. Just dishonest.

 

I'm all about protecting documents and secrets. If he wasn't cooperative and was putting us in danger what did he expect.

None of us know all of the details, it could be wrong on either side right now.

 

That's not all that matters. But when someone has a history of lying and destroying documents, challenging subpoena's and it's crucial to not have the documents destroyed, it would be irresponsible to rely on a subpoena. That would be horrible law enforcement.

Why doesn't trump and team show what the warrant is for? They could help there own cause..................or make it worse I guess, I think its the latter or he would be showing it to his foxxy friends and cohorts
