Baseball. Where they set up the playoffs so that a number 1 seed faces a better team than the 2nd seed faces. Why can't they just have the worst record after the wild card round play the #1 seed?
And to increase attendance for the stretch run, the Astros are now giving free tickets to all strippers.
I believe Breggers benefited more than about anyone from the juiced ball. How many times do you see him get decent wood but fly out a few feet short of the track? Those were landing in the Crawford boxes in 2019
Yankees 22-24 in their last 46. That's now approaching a third of the baseball season. There's trouble in DoucheLand.
Yuli and Jake combined to go 0-5 with a walk. Chas rips LHP and Mancini, when allowed to play, has been raking since the trade. We won and scored a lot, in spite of the poor decision to play Jake and Yuli yet again
It look at it more like Jake + Diaz vs Chas + Mancini (CF and LF). Diaz had 4 RBI, Jake at least scored a run. That's 5 runs from those two. I can't argue with that.
Not entirely disagreeing with you but you left out a few things. Yuli drove in the what turned out to be the winning run with a sacrifice fly. Jake scored the 7th run and was robbed of an AB by a horrid call from the home plate ump. The ball clearly hit him but he calls it fair anyway. I can't think of anyone ever who could have such an incredible quick wit to be able to fake being hit off the bat knowing it was an easy out otherwise. I don't understand why that isn't reviewable or why the ump never bothered to ask for help when he could've.
I heard compadre Cal will be cooking hamburgers for fans tomorrow. Empty seats and an image repair. They're trying to make Cal into Mr. Charismatic This is why I want the second spot and play the twins but still a long way. The no.1 seed should choose their opponent! easy fix. =)
Diaz since July 5 25 Games started .313 BA 18 Runs 7 HR 17 RBIs Reference point 150 game projection 128 R, 42 HR, 112 RBI Those struggles in the first 45 days (below the Mendoza line) seem like so long ago. I think we have our solid answer in left field if Brantley can't return.
I'm not sure he's Dusty's champion, the Astros FO champion, or both. Long term, I think front office sees him as better than Chas. Despite the self-imposed problems in CF, the Astros still have the 3rd best hitting OF and the best defensive OF per FanGraphs. Dusty has the problem of don't improve what is working great.
