Stop dropping series and splitting series against **** teams. Let's start doing that against the Rangers.
He's pitched well against everybody. He's had a Cy Young caliber season completely out of nowhere somehow.
They have seen him enough. I am calling it here and now. Middle of the order gers it done tonight: Alvarez, Bregman, and Tucker combine for 5 hits (3 for extra bases), 4 runs, and 5 rbi.
I'm sure Espada is hoping to get this gig after Dusty is gone, we will see if he applies statistical logic to make his case to the brass. 2 lefties going this series.
This makes sense. Though, if Chas is on the bench against the 2 lefties and in the lineup against the RHP, I will assume Dusty still had influence on the lineup.
Dusty: -Was never feeling bad; feeling good; thought it was allergies, surprised when they said it was Covid -When I look back, couple events earlier that week with pictures & people wanting you to take your mask down. I was a little careless. -Came home yesterday; Crane sent a plane for me -Hopefully managing before the weekend -I didn’t have an all-star break; talked to couple family members who said this is a much needed break; much needed rest even though I didn’t want it this way. Communication with staff? -Just got off phone with Pettis -Speak to Joe daily, give Joe the lineup -Ran into couple well pitched games Team run out of gas? -We had 18 games in 17 days -You’re mentally tired -Off day was right on time -We do need to play better against 2nd division teams; OAK/TX has played us well; hopefully a good week before back on the road Thoughts on 3 new additions? -Can only play one catcher, will be 70/30 60/40 split -Trey had couple good games, trying to match him up with people most conducive for his swing and where he likes the ball; haven’t had a chance to play him in LF; only played 16 games in both LF/RF in BAL; they put him in right; trying to figure out when & where to play him while trying to get Yuli going at the same time -Plenty of opportunities for Will Smith
Thanks for the summary. I guess it shouldn’t be a tyrosine but sounds like the guy that will get the most run of the 3 new additions is the guy that was just a throw away to get rid of Odo’s option. Awesome.
