The real news here is that if Trump removed classified materials that is a federal crime. Being convicted of a federal crime disqualifies you from holding future office. Sometimes it's hard to fathom how stupid these people are, but much like thier ethics, there appears to be no bottom.

The warrant came from an independent judge who was shown probable cause that evidence of crimes would be present. In addition photographic evidence that Trump had lied and flushed documents down the toilet. There are literally pictures of the documents in the commode. Nobody believes this is good. I would normally think that the vegas odds on trump actually getting convicted is low. But I also think the DOJ probably wouldn’t do this unless there is intent to indict. If we assume there are classified documents in the 15 boxes seized by the FBI, you have a crime. There is no intent requirement. It is not a defense to say, dude, I didn’t MEAN to have classified documents, it was an accident. I think it is a fairly simple path to prosecution. Now, I like your idea of him kicking the bucket better. But at this point, it is time to go after trump and let him and all his sickophants know that nobody is above the law.
