    Trump Says Mar-a-Lago Home Raided by FBI Agents
    Former president says unannounced raid at Florida resort residence not necessary or appropriate

    Former President Donald Trump said Monday evening that FBI agents were conducting a raid at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla.

    “Nothing like this has ever happened to a president of the United States before,” he said in a statement. “After working and cooperating with the relevant government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”

    Details of the operation weren’t immediately available.

    Aides to Mr. Trump didn’t immediately respond to a request for more information.

    The White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Spokespeople for the FBI and Justice Department didn’t immediately respond to calls for comment.

    He's had ~20 months to dispose of any evidence, but if anyone is dumb enough to hang on to an anchor in the pool it is that guy.
