the "benevolent monarch" statement if f***ing weird. what century is this again? sadly, i think this is where most trumpers are. they want a strongman authoritarian leader.
I don't think the preference for a benevolent monarch is that far-out. That might actually be preferable to a direct, majoritarian democracy, in terms of protecting the rights of minorities. A lot of people who dream about their chosen President remaking the country in their idealized image of what it should be are really yearning for a benevolent monarch, aren't they?

It's what inevitably happens. The immediate attempt to deflect what some corrupt liar like Jones or trump says that has terrible consequences. One award winning source gets a story wrong, retracts it, and then publishes the truth when they dig and if they find it, the others just go on to the next lie, ignoring that they were caught. Equating the two is obscene, in my opinion.
I never thought Alex Jones believed the things he said and was just feeding his base in exchange for $$. But now I have to reconsider. He is still doubling down lol
The party of “law and order” has cried over liars and conmen being punished for breaking the law a lot lately.
Jones legal team is hoping that there are partisan (read MAGA) morons on the jury who don’t care about facts, law, right or wrong, and will hang the jury on a partisan basis alone.
