I’m more excited for this season than any season since 2018

Most excited since we had CP3, Harden and Capella - but much lower expectations.

Im excited too. I've estimated the Rockets to be around 9th In offensive
rating and 12th in defensive rating for the year and get a draft
pick somewhere around 10th.

I was called out on that for not likely happening. Is there any way that
we can be the 10th ORtg and 14th DRtg through quarters 1-3.....and put
in EG, Sterling Brown, Nwaba, Garuba, Boban in the 4th for defensive purposes;
But actually it's for "tank purposes?" Asking for a friend

Its going to be Highlight City thats for sure! Once these young guys get to know each other and gain a little experience winning games they should mesh really well together. Dynasty in the works!

Um, talk about looking at things in 20/20. For one, we were competitive in 2019 - 2020. And two, many thought we could be competitive in 2020-2021 pre-Harden trade. But hey, talk trash for no good reason.

If this team wants to be champion at the mid-of the decade, they have to start winning now. Success and misery are contagious.

The team has 4 all-star caliber players ( none of them there yet) lots of future prospects (Josh, TyTy, Tari,..) and quite a lot useful NBA players (Gordon, KMJ, Tate, Nix, Bruno,..)

If front office force them to lose I will have no respect to Tilman&Co.

As Soren Kierkegaard quoted decent people live the current days, neither past nor future. Better to start winning now.

 

It's going to be a growing year. I wouldn't expect a good record by any means, but hopefully our young players will develop and create a competitive window 3-5 years from now.

 

Unless these are just Western conference rankings then we couldn't avoid making the playoffs with top 12 offense and defense. Well I guess if we finish last in the league in FT shooting, we could. Man, I hope we can start shooting FTs well at some point.

 

Yep, we may be too good for 10th pick. But we can package picks to move up.

I don't understand how anyone who calls themself a Rockets isn't excited about this upcoming season! We might have the worst record in the league but there's still plenty to be excited about. The team has plenty of talent and potential upside with youth on their side. As a basketball fan I'm excited to see how the season unfolds.

So many questions. So many subplots. So much to be interested in. Can't wait!

To stay interested I just need to see progress from individuals and the team as a whole. This includes the coaching staff. I think this is all you can reasonably ask for as a fan of the game. Everyone else can go get on the bandwagons in San Francisco or Boston.
