I thought Prey was....just okay. 5/10 CONS: Death by soundtrack. CGI looked too fake and was relied on too much Too much "people fighting against each other " and not enough "hunted by predator" First half of movie was too slow Too much of a feminism statement in the beginning The gore was pretty soft PROS Story was okay. Characters were pretty good. Not much was stupid There was gore Costumes and visuals seemed pretty accurate for the period It didn't suck, but it's not really worthy of all the praise it's receiving
I didn’t realize native Americans’ primary language back then was English and only used their native tongue mainly for talking to the dog. lol
Went in with no expectations, and was surprised it wasn't the woke garbage it was anticipated to be. I enjoyed it. Y'all talking about Predator 2 easter eggs have it all wrong. There was an easter egg in this but it wasn't for Predator 2. Spoiler: Spoiler This tribe was the birth of the Shirai Ryu clan GET OVER HERE
Watched it last night, was pretty good... Still dont know how exactly the ending worked.. Would have been better with Chris Pratt as Naru..
Other than that though, the movie's getting a lot of praise for its accuracy on the Comanches -- the producer is part Comanches, part Blackfoot, apparently and prioritized getting it historically accurate (I mean, for people who are into that... which I am... but I haven't seen it yet).
There wasn’t a ton of CGi, which I liked. The Predator cloaking was very good IMO. It’s weird that CGI seems to be going backwards in quality. District 9 came out in 2009 and had better CGI than most movies/shows these days. The only reason I can think of is cost cutting. CGI used to be a big part of budgets but now any nerd with a powerful Mac can do it. It’s an art, not a program.
They need to make a empire strikes back predator movie where the predator wins And kills all the humans
My idea is that the next predator movie is in the future and the humans created skynet to fight the predators That way you can bring back terminator and not make it stupid like the last movie @Xerobull And bring back Danny glover
There wasn't much CGI but it didn't look well when they applied to the animals IMO. It was the perfect runtime.
I thought there was a LOT of CGI and the animals especially looked fake. If the CGI had looked realistic, I would have enjoyed it a LOT more.
