So the "right" move would be NOT to resign him? That would NOT be a mistake? Is that the logic you want to use?
It depends on what he would sign for. At something like 3/30 I would take a chance on him, at 4/60 I would not risk it.
Im literally laughing over here watching all you goofballs try to be careful with Tilman Fertittas money! Keep the zingers coming! KPJ is 10 times the player Duncan Robinson is --- he should receive 10 times the money -- DUH LOGIC! LMAO
Did I ever say anything about numbers? No. I said vision. Creativity. KPJ has improved and hopefully will continue to, but being able to run a team (which is still a work in progress) and being extraordinarily gifted in the playmaking dept is two completely different things.
Yeah these morons are definitely on par with the losers who challenged clutch. Y’all are pretty damn sad who don’t know wtf you’re talking about lmao quit embarrassing cf’s
Huh? Doesn’t there have to be a number? I mean would you give him a rookie max? What’s the most you would offer?
The number most of his supporters have been pushing is 12-15. Not sure why that drives you guys crazy especially when you look around the league at players in that range.
So if the most talented player on the roster would sign long term for essentially a rookie contract, you'd "risk it"? Lol absurd.
Because most of the guys who get those bad contracts have 1. Had better seasons then kpj and 2. Haven’t had the issues
I mean I certainly don’t think he’s more talented then jalen green, or even close. If he is, we’re basically a hopeless franchise for years to come and it makes no difference how much you pay him since we’re just tanking
Scooter just came off the best year of his life. Comparable numbers (minus the all important MEANINGFUL GAMES stat lol) to Jalen Brunson. So keep it real -- you dont want to pay him because you think he's a psycho who is not to be trusted. Base it on that and I'd respect you guys more than trying to diminish his offseason work and on-court skills.
Giving Porrter Jr another year to prove his worth doesn't make Rocket fans anti-KPJ by any stretch of the imagination. A very vocal few can't seem to wait to overpay him right now and will ridicule anyone that sees it any differently. I find that to be utterly ridiculous. There's no harm in waiting out the year. Giving him the bag now based upon a limited end of the year run is unwise. If a deal had to be done immediately then it would also have to be a very team friendly deal. That really shouldn't be so upsetting to some. That just is what it is at this point and time. KPJ and his reps no doubt want more and they'll have a season to prove it. End of..
Lol of course you don't.... because of how much more Jalen Green has shown right? Right now, there's no one in the Rockets that have the ability to create for themselves, create for others, play off ball, and play defense besides KPJ. We certainly hope Jalen Green develops into someone who can, but he's not there, neither is Sengun, neither is Jabari Smith as of now. You suggesting that a rookie level contract would be anything but an outright insult suggests that maybe you aren't being the most reasonable when it comes to this conversation.
Of course all of his issues are part of it, how can they not be? Last season, if he had earned 10 million he would have been overpaid massively, his actual on court play warrants no money. I would still pay him based on the fact that I believe he has a ton of potential, but he has also played 3 years and been outright awful. Had he been a top draft pick and done what he has done on the court he would be considered a total bust
Lol. Based on what? You do realize there are 2 sides to a basketball court right? I was excited about how Green finished the season, but he was still a net negative on the court. That wasn't the case with KPJ.
Its funny to hear respected contributors go on the attack and blame KPJ supporters for ridiculing his doubters? Nah. If you feel big enough to bark out insults then dont cry when you get clapped back at. Part of the game.
