They were just the “Brooklyn Baseball Club” until WWII. They were called “Da Bums” because their fans were considered poor and trashy… they had a couple other nicknames before the team decided to just go with Dodgers. Their mascot was a clown until the 60’s.

Guardians and Commanders will eventually sound normal same way the Wizards and Pelicans do. Texans does too although I still don't like it

Hardly. I bet you don't even remember 1962 and what discrimination was really like, even after it was no longer legal.

It has nothing to do with race , he is stubborn to a fault and has trouble doing what management wants. Even fired from 4 different organizations.

They aren’t as good as the Dodgers and trading your entire farm system for two guys that are mediocre defensively does nothing to change that.
As for Soto, he isn’t prime Mike Trout and even then one player doesn’t make a big enough difference.

The Padres are better for now but paid a huge cost long term.

Pelicans is still stupid, the New Orleans Quintet works much better than a name as unwieldy as “Pelicans”.

Washington Wizards at least has alliteration.

The Texan name wouldn’t be so awful if they weren’t the laughing stock of the league forthright majority of their existence.

I hate everything about the Mets, but I have to admit that's ****ing awesome.

Someone REALLY needs to do some Ennio Morricone spaghetti western Clint Eastwood-style stuff, somehow.

I'm just mad because anytime you attack someones character, it is deemed racist. It is what MLK wanted and made sense, even to a southern white boy.

I will NOT have you besmirching the game of Risk, it's a ****ing classic.

What's next? Monopoly's no good because of the Yankees and Dodgers?

He needs to wear a cape and throw it off once he gets to the mound

Odorizzi gave up 3 runs in less than 5 innings then tweaked his hammy in Queens today.

    Good job Click

Mancini and Vasquez are both starting so I call this lineup a win.
