How many people have their stuff searched entering Russia?

I've flown through Russia before, they make you go through customs even if you aren't leaving the airport. Back then, no one had their stuff searched, they didn't care. They just wanted you to dump all your liquor you got from the previous duty free shop so you had to rebuy at their shops (even though they knew you had just flown with it). Now apparently they will target Americans and look for anything to try to find a pretext to detain them.

Yeah, it's not political at all.

 

This is dumb. Geopolitical politics were radically different 3 years ago. This has nothing to do with race.

Griners case has received a ton of attention, but a teacher name Marc Fogel was arrested in 2021 for bringing 17g of med mar1juana into Russia.

He was sentenced to 14 years.

He is making much more sense than a vast majority of Californians..

 

Not sure who is making all these "demands" but I will say this.

It's a stupid law anywhere. Arresting people for a few grams of mar1juana is stupid. Yes obey and respect the local customs. But putting people in prison for 9 years for very tiny offenses is just utter stupidity.
