Dusty absolutely does make you want to pull your hair out. He has been perfectly fine, good even, the last 2 postseasons when it really mattered. But it is infuriating watching some of the s**t he chooses to do, or not do, in the regular season.

 

Sounds like they should have guarded it better

 

Problem is i'd rather play game 7 vs the Yankees or Dodgers at MMP

Ok, actually that's probably a lie. Game 4 in 2017 when I was at the game I drank quite a bit and missed a few pitches while in the pisser, but the radio broadcast was loud and clear at least

 

The Guardians should have built a wall to keep immigrants out.

 

All those that love to b**** and moan about Dusty are set up quite well tomorrow. If Maldonado plays, they can complain that we traded for Vasquez and he never gets to play. If Vasquez plays, they can complain that Dusty is benching the hot hand...AGAIN.

I'm not a huge Dusty Baker fan, but the level of hatred he receives on this board makes me want to defend him, because it is way overboard compared to his actual results.

 

Although truth be told they listed both the home and away records.

The record vs RH starters is somewhat significantly worse than our overall W-L record, why would you put that stat up against all the other impressive stats they listed? I found that a little silly is all.

What if we were now 5-6 playing a night game after a getaway afternoon game? Wouldn't you think it odd that they listed that stat after all those other really impressive stats?

Immediately after I saw 44-27 vs RH I said to myself well that's not very impressive. Why did they throw that in there? But I'm also a numbers guy and this stuck out like a sore thumb.

Anybody hear reading down the list of impressive stats get to that W-L record and say "Wow look at that, we are 44-27 against right handed starters"? Lol. I hope not.

 

When you have the best pitching staff in baseball, your results can look a lot better than your ability to manage
