I agree. It’s almost as dumb as the Indians. My guess is there isn’t a lot of memorable or positive things in Cleveland, or really even Ohio.

Meyers is in the lineup Friday and Saturday. Not too likely to change.

If they HAD to change the name, I would have gone Spiders, because at least there is some history behind that name. Not the same franchise, but a now-defunct NL team that played in Cleveland.

You want the astro sunshine pumper message board. This is the substance abuse/ end of the road jaded astro fans message board. We still talk about batting average here.

If I've said it once I've said it a million times, this team wins in spite of Dusty.

Fewest innings pitched per win average in MLB history:

    1. Christy Mathewson.... 12.84 IP
    2. Justin Verlander.......... 12.94 IP

Nobody else is really close to these numbers.

Randy Johnson at 13.65 IP is next on that list.

We are witnessing one of the greatest pitchers to ever do it.

Correct McClanahan got roughed up last time and his ERA ballooned to 2.07. His WHIP is barely better than JV now. His ace in the hole is his K rate. But that's it. Oh and he's only 10-4.
