Missing the Biebs in this series, and Cleveland is technically a winning team. So good outlook for this one.
How nice is it to look at starting pitching and not be penciling in a given L in any of the slots. Sure guys will have a clunker but I like that you look at the matchups and have to guess where that clunker may come from because it is not evident. To say Cleveland misses Urquidy is great because other teams could say that about any of our 5 starters.
Speaking of Peacock, he's been dominating the minors recently as a reliever, and should be back to the majors with the Twins soon. The Twins DFA'd Joe Smith so he may come up for him.
I was wondering the same thing. I got tickets for the 19th and I was trying to guess the probable pitcher but with a 5 man rotation that could be back to a 6 with LMJ, No chance. I am guessing but maybe another start for Space Cowboys then a roster move.
I am guessing either late next week or the following week. I expect the Astros go to a 6-man rotation. Playoff roster is going to be stacked if LMJ and Brantley are healthy.
They have been so careful with Lance. I would bet they keep him in AAA for the full 30 days which would mean he is activated when the team is in Atlanta 8/21. On his current schedule, his final rehab start would be 17th and his first MLB start 8/23 vs Twins at home. Just my thoughts. I don't get any inside info in Idaho, lol.
The other option I considered is: Between 8/14 and 8/21 the starters will need to go on 4 days rest, but if Lance is activated before the 14th then some starters will actually have 6 days between starts which is also not ideal. Currently, Urquidy, JV, and Framber would start their 2nd consecutive game on only 4 days rest in Atlanta 19th -21st. So it would likely be ideal to activate Lance to start 19th or 20th to at least keep JV from doing that.
NBC does the same with Premier League games: you need a Peacock subscription to watch the majority of the games and a cable subscription for games aired on USA.
Looks like Mancini and Vasquez on the bench tonight. Dusty gonna Dusty (though I totally get maldy starting across Verlander)
Of course Dusty sits Mancini the day after he hits a 2 run homer. death, taxes, and Dusty being dusty
