I don't think you have to worry about Tate being a slacker like Simmons .... That dude just didn't give a damn.

We hear an awful lot about how this bunch of young Rockets are always hard at work on their games and Tate is known to be one of the most dedicated .... we'll see if all their work pays off.

I'm not worried, I've got TaBari that can play either 3 or 4.

It's not so much slacking as it is a mental block like Dwight Howard
shooting free throws during games. A form of stage fright.

What is promising is Tate shot 38% from 3 in his last 22 games.
Problem is, it was only on 2.5 shots per game. Nobody worries
a good percentage on miniscule attempts. It's not enough to
draw the defense out unless it's a last second shot and the game
    is close.

And would Tate have enough confidence in himself to shoot it then?
At worst opponents are thinking that's about one 3 that they have to
overcome somewhere during the course of a game. Meanwhile
packing the paint is more than making up for that one 3.
This is how defenses have gotten so smart.
    __________
And yes Tate works hard....Jalen Green, Jabari, Tari, Christopher with
Tate all have tremendous drive to win. That's why I've said good luck
trying to get these guys "Tanking." They all might throw grandmother
over a cliff to win. Incentives in contracts are also a driving force.
This is why I project 30+ wins and why everyone will increase
their assist totals. Since everyone will be progressing to
about 3 to 4 more points across the board. Sengun, Tate,
    Kenyon, JC, *Green, Porter.

*might be in the neighborhood of a 9 point increase in avg pts now that
    some Wood has been removed.
