Not to be that guy, but the two highlights were just him shooting a 3 and then making a slick pass to a rim runner. Glad for no extracurricular headlines, but wake me up when he's able to blow by even the most average of defenders.
Every year he does some light gym rat promotion and washes it down with bbq wings and stripper all nighters.

To be fair, it looks like just a random pick-up game / scrimmage, so I can understand if Harden isn't trying his hardest to embarrass the average joes, but the point still stands. Nothing he really does is noteworthy until he shows he has some burst left.
I remember when James was a Rocket and these kind of videos were posted, he usually was driving a lot by amateur defenders. Is my memory correct? He is definitely not even trying here, and if it's any indication, seems like he will be limited similar to last year. I try not to take anything from these guys just balling in the gym during the summer, but James had substantial drop off in his game last year, especially in getting to the rim via isolation, and although this video is short, he probably will be doing a lot less driving this coming season. I guess we will see.

Wouldn't that be indicative of him no longer being capable of making such moves effectively? If he had that ability, I'd expect to see it at least once here.
What am I missing? How can you judge any speed from that clip, he took a stepback and dribbled twice, he never tried to go by anybody. I am not saying you are wrong, I just don't understand how that video shows anything. Huh? It was just 2 plays how can you expect something from 2 random plays in a pickup game? Did you just want him to try and go by everybody all the time? How can 2 random plays from a video of a pickup game be indicative of anything?
Nah you're right,Im just really skeptical after watching him last season, that was straight up tough to watch.
