#1 Caserio and Lovie are not BoB. #2 $100+ million in cap space is HUGE. If they have a productive season and young players progress, another draft + free agency can get this team competitve in 2023.
No...they are not. They will not trade for him. If he is release, they may go after him. However, Jimmy G will go to a team ready to compete for the playoffs.
I can understand fans irritation with the Texans, but I like Caserio’s approach and if the ownership will stay out of his way, I think we could be competitive for a playoff spot in 1 or 2 years. A lot will depend on Mills. If he is the real deal (which I think he is) we will be better this year and will compete for the playoffs no later than 2024.
I am glad to hear the praise coming out of camp about Mills, but lets be honest, its just talk, what are they going to say........he sucks? I want him to do better and progress, that's all I ask, no need to put high expectations at this point...........when I heat Sterner on 610 talk highly of him after what he said about him last year, I am definitely encouraged.....but I am putting a low bar on this season and then we crank up for next year to make a real run with the additional draft picks and Mills gets to prove he is the man.
Not that a QB has to be snarky or have a fun sense of humor to be good at football...but man he sure comes off as wooden in these interviews. Just no personality. I couldn't care less if he turns out to be the guy for the future of this team, but it sure would be nice if he didn't come off like he just got done practicing his cliches with Crash Davis just prior to the interview.
No trust me if he was sucking the mid morning show with Lopez would have called it out. He’s ballin and training camp is night and day compared to last year
based on what, if we have a top 5 pick I promise we are taking young or stroud. They are the next drew Brees and Justin Herbert. Mills is mike glennon at best, he is a checkdown charlie and his deep ball sucks
He was literally one of the best deep ball throwers in the NFL last year. Stroud and Mills are similar level physical attributes. And Mills isn’t a Ohio St QB. Young is way too small and too slow to be a functional NFL Qb even with that arm talent. There is no reason to take a QB if Mills builds on his last 6 games. Has every physical attribute you can ask for in a modern QB.
