Completely rebuilding the bullpen last year wasn't good?

I am 100% confident Rafael Stone would have done a better job today....

For those in the know, did we have interest in Bader? He's signed through 2023. Seems like the Yankees got a good deal unless LHPs like Montgomery are valued highly

Why does Dusty never mention McCormick with regard to CF?

Someone needs to adjust Mancini’s production this year for MMP. We know the number of HR would more than double so naturally his RBI, SLG and OPS would increase, presumably his AVG as well. Maybe that would get folks more hyped.

Getting a guy that batted cleanup for his team is viewed as not drastically moving the needle? The team is fighting for a WC spot and is devastated he left their team because he was a leader. Further stats, indicated he would have 20+ homers at this point by playing at MMP alone. I don’t get these takes.

Vasquez playing time is a pure guess at this point and I’ll guarantee you he’ll be playing a substantive amount of time to give Maldy a break. Click has indicated this plenty of times which is why he made the move. He’s also a almost 2x WRC+ player than Maldy.

Hilarious reading some comments you would think the stros are some last place team like the rockets who suck, who desperately need some drastic news. When in reality the stros have one of the top records and a ws favorite. Keep that bs energy away from the stros who are a proven winning organization

Click is stuck in Tampa mentality. You get so many shots at a WS. Take it when you can.

    Our lineup could be sick.

    Altuve
    Bregman
    Yordan
    Bregman
    Tucker
    Mancini
    Brantley
    Pena
    Vazquez

But it will probably look like this because Dusty wants his guys and Brantley's shoulder is done

    Altuve
    Gurriel
    Yordan
    Bregman
    Tucker
    Diaz
    Meyers
    Pena
    Maldy

I will get sick if the bottom lineup gets rolled out in October.

I would for the first time, be on board with canning Dusty.

If Brantley isn't coming back I guess I can live with Yordan being DH and Mancini taking over in LF at Minute Maid. Not so sure in other ballparks though. Mancini seems pretty slow.

I wonder if the Mancini and Vasquez trade happened today and not yesterday the reaction would be a little different. For me it's a yes. Trades happening yesterday, I still had hope for 1 more move for today. Nothing happened so I'm bummed out. If the trades happened today, I would have been a little disappointed but would have said well at least they still got 2 decent players. I think another thing that got me bummed out is it was leaked that they were after a CF and was reported that they were concerned that teams were running on Meyers and perhaps he's hesitant with his throws because he's coming back from a shoulder injury. So clearly they're not happy with the Meyers/McCormick tandem and that is what they're stuck with because nothing was done.

If that lineup is rolled out, we're not making the World Series. And I'd be sick right with you.

I'm good with the trade deadline moves. Mancini gives has massive power and can play multiple positions. Will Smith is a high upside lefty reliever with postseason success. Vasquez addresses our weakest position on the field and has postseason experience. Jayden Murray has a nice set of stats in the minors (low ERA, very few walks). We have a great team... we didn't need to overhaul the roster -- just trim around the edges, which we did.
