According to all prison movies ever, he will have to join the peckerwoods or make friends with an old wise inmate who will give his life meaning and eventually get the bosses and rapists off his ass.

this is why my motto is to drink water and mind my business

dummy could be at home watching TV right now, but because he wanted to be a mindless drone and storm the Capitol, he now has to eat weeks old untoasted white bread topped with government cheese and protect his butt for 7 years

    Victims of Trumpism.

Guy Reffitt's Daughter - 'Life in Prison' for Donald Trump Over 1/6 (newsweek.com)

The daughter of a man who has been handed the longest custodial sentence so far in connection to the Capitol riot has said that Donald Trump "deserves life in prison" for his role over January 6.

"Trump deserves life in prison if my father is in prison for this long," Peyton Reffitt said.

Peyton Reffitt had previously written a letter to the judge to say that the former president had influenced her father's actions on January 6, and like a lot of "middle-aged white men," Guy Reffitt "fell to his knees" when Trump spoke.

"President Trump deceived my father and many other normal citizens with families to believe that this past election was fraudulent," the 18-year-old wrote, via CNBC.

Speaking in court during the trial, Peyton Reffitt denied that her father was leading the riot on January 6. "My father's name wasn't on all the flags that were there that day, that everyone was carrying," she said. "It was another man's name."

Trumpism is what happens when a bunch of gullible people join a cult.

the 18 y/o clearly has more common sense and brain cells than her father

yeah, Trump led him, but he was dumb enough to follow, so enjoy those 7 years

    Was it worth it?

This goes to a point in an other thread where a poster is comparing the rioters from Jan. 6th to Japanese American internment.
The Japanese Americans broke no laws, they didn’t even leave their homes. They were forcibly detained and relocated just because of their ethnicity.

Reffit and all of those with him that day deliberately traveled far from their homes to unlawfully breach the US Capitol and disrupt the lawful exercise of Congress. Even those who weren’t violent they still were breaking the law.

Yes Trump incited them and lied to them but Reffit and everyone of those people made the choice to do this.

The Right likes to say they are all about personal responsibility yet we keep in hearing deflections, excuses and rationalizations. The party of personal responsibility refuses to take responsibility for their actions.

Which doesn't change or diminish her testimony and evidence in any way whatsoever.

Again, this only shows how strong of a case they have against Trump. The evidence isn't coming from people that are anti-Trumpers.
    They were his supporters.

It diminishes the argument that the committee only hears one side and doesn't allow Trump’s people to have a say.

The cover-up is starting to sound much bigger than Watergate.

Well, considering Gaetz has other legal issues with a minor who knows. I still wonder what Cruz's part was. Was he one of those who pleaded the 5th to any questions? He was part of that Trump mob inciting the people with their propaganda and lies about the election. At the least, it seems like he should be disbarred for his part, along with a few others.

The Secret Service, Homeland Security, and now allegedly the DOD all happened to erase communications in/on/around Jan 6.

People used to say about Nixon "it's not the crime, it's the coverup". This time it's both.

One has to wonder if he will stick to his "executive privilege" argument in front a grand jury. He might have to switch to the "5th".
