These people have truly lost their minds.

Manchin-Schumer climate bill takes aim at cow burps and farts

The Democratic climate and healthcare bill includes $25 million to combat enteric emissions produced by cows and farm animals, largely through burps and manure.

The $369 billion Inflation Reduction Act announced by Senate Democrats this week includes funding to address “enteric methane emissions from ruminants,” including by finding alternatives to the animals’ diets, according to the text of the bill.

Cows and other farm animals produce roughly 14% of human-induced climate emissions.

“This is another example of how out of touch Senate Democrats are," said Patrick Creamer, the communications director for Republicans on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry. "Americans are struggling with high prices at every turn — the grocery store, the gas pump, even at home with utilities — and yet Senate Democrats want them to pay billions for Green New Deal programs that were roundly rejected when they were first proposed. With inflation at 9%, these misplaced priorities are reckless and dangerous. ”

Another $300 million in the bill would be aimed at collecting and analyzing information on carbon sequestration on farms.

World leaders have made reducing methane emissions a major priority, and the U.S. and EU agreed last fall to cut these emissions by one-third over the next decade.

“Cutting methane is the biggest opportunity to slow warming between now and 2040,” Durwood Zaelke, a lead reviewer on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, told the Guardian last year.

The possibility that climate policy could focus on cow farts or penalize beef eating has been the source of controversy for years, especially after the introduction of the controversial Green New Deal resolution by left-wing Democrats in 2019.

A document released by the office of Green New Deal proponent Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), which was later retracted, said: “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast."

All of this is of course endorsed and coordinated by the World Economic Forum - the Davos globalist elitist cabal.

So, they want to get rid of farm animals and meat eating because of their greenhouse gas emissions. What other animals do we know of that have large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2 exhalations and CH4 (methane) farting behaviors?

If you guessed human beings, you are correct. And they want to get rid of large numbers of us too. Perhaps you will have the honor of getting to give your life for that cause.

$25 million to combat emissions by farm animals.

$300 million to collect and analyze info on carbon sequestration (removal of co2) on farms.

These are exactly small and smart investments that we should be doing.

"get rid of farm animals and meat eating" is nowhere in the bill or the article. You just made up that ****.

Look cigarette smokers often know that it’s bad for them and others but even though they often can’t quit at the time, they want to.

Eating meat at the scale we eat it and the way we eat it is terrible for the environment. Especially when you factor in large scale grazing that essentially depletes land size that is large enough to heavily impact the environments ability to capture carbon.

This whole “Libs trying to ban meat” meme war is so stupid. The goal to make the meat/climate debate a laughing matter is ridiculously counterproductive and people have to find a way to shame these idiots into looking like flat earthers when they try to bully meme their way into shutting down the climate debate. Responsible livestock management and over reliance on meat based diets is a problem we have to fix. Especially here in Texas where every acre of land has to have 10 cows on it so your retired boomer can get a tax write off.

Just like with cigarettes we have to have a way of educating the public and having real debate without the stigma that if you don’t eat meat like Ron Swanson you are some kind of weirdo and if you eat meat but want to be more responsible about it or move away from it as much you aren’t a hypocrite.

It’s funny you mention this because being around my family more the past couple of weeks they never shut up about this and are 100% convinced the Democrats are going to confiscate their cars. It’s bizarre but the propaganda machine seems to be going full steam on the issue of big gov seizing your cars as a way to stoke fear and vote R.

If it’s not one thing it’s another though because fear is their tool. It’s very little to do with their benefit of x or y modality of fear but rather the fear itself that is the reason for spewing propaganda.

Using the pulpit for it is to the detriment of the church itself and will utterly destroy religion in America which is really what most of the founding fathers were concerned about. 65% of people in this country will end up utterly despising the church in just a few years of this nonsense.

But using the evangelical church should shock no one because they are the OG propagandist of fear. I challenge every one of you to attend just one sermon this next week and pay attention to every time the book of Revelations or hell is mentioned. For generations now they’ve been weaponizing fear to get what they want… which usually starts and ends with money.

There’s nothing wrong with eating a burger
It’s the fat suckers who are eating 3 burgers a day and farting and taking up 2 chairs on the plane causing the problems

I am not sure what the pastor's point was...other than spreading conspiracy theories?
he said world economic forum is run by a pedophile and by being a good citizen of earth, you are aligning with pedophiles by giving up your car..

Saying the word Illuminati is the tell. The point is fear of government and the “secular new world order” which ultimately translates to vote Republican or don’t vote at all.

Anyone who had seen or better smelt a manure pond will understand the scope of this problem. A factory farm isn’t about some cow pies in a field but the waste of thousands of animals in the amount of tons.

Also farming is one of the main ways that climate change can be addressed. There are many farming practices that can be used to capture carbon. Things like zero till and field rotation can not only preserve too soil but also capture carbon.

If I asked that question it would be opening up a can of worms. They will not be convinced with even the most blatant facts that Dems aren’t or have not taken a million things away from them such as:

    -The 2020 election
    -Their guns
    -Gas
    -Their jobs from immigrants
    -Their Bibles and religion
    -Their culture
    -etc etc.

It’s just too predictable to even ask. I don’t really think our job anymore is to try and debate these people. It’s about talking to our own likeminded factual Americans who might or might not become disillusioned and demoralized in the future. I’m done wasting time fighting with people like most of my family and try to enjoy the moments we get with family where politics hopefully cannot destroy eventually.

I can understand, I was talking to my dad and he was ranting about if you do the crime you should do the time, and I said....yeah, I agree, like Donald Trump....and he was like ....well....uh.....well.....and I was like....what do you mean? If he did the crime, he should do the time, right dad.....

He struggled mightily with it.......honestly at this point I know that my brother and my father are too ignorant to understand the truth or what is the truth, they both are deep into the lies and deceit spun by Fox News......and don't have the capacity to go search out and trust other sources to give them balance.

It sucks.....they aren't stupid they are just in the cult.
