We have championship level pitching and below average hitting. I assume we will see results similar to ‘98 against the Padres.

I think we all figured Yuli would turn it around and it seems to be happening.

Choi Trade would be super cheap and offer a platoon option against righty's in the playoffs. Its not as flashy as Bell I get it, but its better than standing pat imo.

He hasn’t been his “old self” but for the last 2 months he’s been serviceable and I think he will keep that up.

It looks like an OF bat and a RP are the order of the day. JD Martinez would be a great get if the price is right.

Will it be cheap though if Urquidy's name been tossed around? And if Urquidy is the price, maybe standing pat might be the better option.

below average hitting using what metric? They’re 3rd in homeruns and in the top half of every other major offensive stat.

We traded with Seattle last year at the deadline when we were facing them, could we do the same with Boston this year?

Choi isn’t an upgrade over Gurriel and nowhere near the value of Urquidy.

Would be super pissed if that’s the move.

Not just for baseball, I love it when my favorite teams makes big trades, especially if they're buying. I would be sad/mad if they don't make a move, especially when it's been reported/Click said they've been aggressive.

What would the mood be for the team? If your rivals made moves while Astros did nothing. Sure you can say you guys are good enough but in the end, they want the team to get even better.

Even though he doesn’t have a no trade clause, I don’t see him coming back here. He holds a grudge against the Astros for cutting him. Also it seems the Yordans hand injury is preventing him from playing LF so can’t fit him and Martinez in the lineup at dh.

In the end, do you want a happy clubhouse on Aug 2nd or a happy clubhouse after winning the second championship in franchise history. You always should go for it when you’re in a championship window. The Braves did and look what happened. Someone will try and beat you to the punch. Always.

Same and the other players thrown around was Siri and Lowe. I don't care if Lowe's upside is better than Siri's, the difference isn't enough to make up the loss value between Urquidy and Choi.

Prospect(s) like Gameday. Number depends on quality.

Windows are BS unless you create them by stupid moves. Make good moves for both now and the future. All In guarantees future hopelessness and DOESN'T promise a WS WIN. The HOT team wins.

And inaction over a small sample across 4 months of play (Gurriel) is a recipe for disaster.

Fine not below average but outside the top 10 in OBP, AVG, Runs, etc. Can’t rely on HRs to save the day you need to get on base and get timely hits with RISP in the playoffs.

We’ve all see the offense dry up in 2019 and 2021 even before losing Correa, Springer, etc.

This offense as it stands today without Brantley and most of the team hitting under .250 isn’t good enough.

Yordan hasn't been playing LF because everybody is better defensively in the outfield, so he shouldn't be out there.

As for Martinez, all the people that made the call to cut him are gone, if he ever even held a real grudge in the first place.

And if he's hot in October instead of the entire regular season, hes an asset. If Yordan goes cold, he's not.

Serviceable is just such an ugly punt at 1B. Just awful. If Yuli is going to be involved and not consigned completely to the bench he needs to be at best a platoon guy. JD would be great.
