Yea, this isn't that important and misplaced IMO. But personally, I hate misinformation and get myself pulled into the debate. I don't mind people arguing about what the definition should be, or more important, what is the economy (!) which I think is a very good debate simply because both the popular media usage and the de-facto usage of "state of the economy" doesn't apply to so many people for so long now.
That sounds exactly like the people who believed Trump when he said he won the election and thought the coup was justified. Are you being sarcastic about taking the "red pill?" That is straight out of the Proud Boys' playbook. To understand the Proud Boys, it is important to understand one of the primary stages of their recruitment, “taking the redpill.” The redpill is the gateway into the conspiratorial thinking which drives the majority of far-right violent extremism. https://gjia.georgetown.edu/2020/09...-of-conspiratorial-thinking-among-proud-boys/
I have no problem accepting the definition that two quarters of negative growth is a “recession” and yes we are in a technical recession. If we’re looking at all the facts though there are still many signs that the economy is doing well. Low unemployment, wage growth rising and the stock market while softer hasn’t bottomed out. At the same time there are signs that inflation is easing.
NBER brought up the notion of a "K shaped recovery" during the Covid re-opening. If they were more honest and empathetic to the lower middle class or Flyover Folk, they'd designate a new letter. R shaped Re...Slowdown?
Can't wait to watch heads explode here when Joe steps down for health reasons and Kamala is president. I hope she chooses AOC as her VP.
You want that for our country so you can troll an NBA message board. You're a huge problem and a reason why our society is in shambles.
When I had COVID I was still testing positive for days after symptoms were done. I did have a rapid test that was negative and a PCR test that was positive. I don’t know if they counts as a COVID rebound and I’m presuming the President has much more accurate tests than I have. Shows that the current variation of COVID can stick around for awhile.
I read that PCR picks up dead virus particles so it can be a false positive (once you have transited from having symptoms to no symptoms). POTUS is likely doing daily rapid tests, the same test available to everyone.
I doubt my musing about xenophobes on an NBA message board have much impact other than with the "usual suspects" here. However, folks beholden to a broken GOP in the thrall of a corrupt, inept, and clueless goofball have created a real problem moving forward.
