Urquidy is half as good but under control for twice as long. Couldn’t command a prospect as good as Marte but should be able to bring back 3 really good prospects from most org’s top 10.

I hope Soto doesn't land with the Yankees or the Dodgers. I thought Seattle would land Soto.

Darn, I guess this forces the Astros hand into paying JV 40mil for the next few seasons to guarantee M’s staying in 2nd place thru 2025.

Mariners are desperate so dont count them out of nothing they will torch them selves if they could just get one win against the Astros

Astros whipping on the Mariners right now which is why they probably pulled this trade off.

Mariners being morons and panicking after we broke Robbie Ray....

Marte is a top tier prospect better than anything in our system.

They are trying to accelerate their rebuild at the expense of shrinking their window dealing possible cornerstones for a guy who will be a free agent before they win a division title.

I would not have done it... this is how you go decades without making the playoffs...

Best thing that could happen is for Mahle and Montas to get moved in the next 24 hours for high prices and some of the other teams contemplating selling pitchers either win or see pitchers get hurt. All that would raise the value of Urquidy and Odorizzi.

Well it’s certainly not going to win The Mariners the division so I guess I’m glad he didn’t end up in NY or LA

I have to say you can tell it's a bad trade for the Mariners when the consensus of the fans of their division rivals are glad they did it.

Yea... I heard the price was insane. I posted this on Sunday about Castillo and a lot of people didn't like it.

Lmao… this is what bad organizations do. You mortgage your future to potentially take the next step. The Mariners issue hasn’t been pitching against the Astros(tonight is different). There hitting hasn’t been good enough.
