I am so disgusted by the GOP doing NOTHING but blocking anything the Democrats propose. They don't give a damn about the people of this country. They don't care about healthcare, minorities, police, Veterans, the sick, the poor, the elderly, or anyone in need. They care about one thing. Patriots wanting to make America Great is the biggest farce of a slogan on earth. They just spit on the Veterans who fought and served that need their help now. I hope that this is an eye opener to any Veterans or families of Veterans who actually believed the GOP cared about them.
He didn't debate during the primary`s because it would show that he can barely put 2 sentences together of rational dialogue and will look like MTG on steroids.........I would love to see him debate............do it for the fans!!
I hate to see Herschel used this way. I feel the GOP in GA is doing him a disservice. This is not a role he is suited for. The political limelight and the gap between expectations and what he can accomplish in this realm can only tarnish his stature.
I used to feel the same way about Mike Lindell. From being a little curious about his background, I learned that the dude had some rough times and was susceptible to crazy beliefs. I thought he was taken advantage of by wealthy members of the religious right in the US. But eventually that sympathy faded away because at this point the dude is absolutely purely in it for the grift.
I almost feel bad for him. He’s obviously being exploited like a child actor or something. He’s had extensive brain injuries due to playing football in an era where they abused athletes (especially running backs) and they are all paying the price now with their health. I believe he’s even clinically diagnosed as having multiple personality disorder. It’s pretty disgusting when you think about it that people like Trump are exploiting what essentially is a child at this point.
I thought McConnel said this would pass, I remember hearing a story about Jon Stewart talking about this, I know hes very passionate about this subject......WTH
The GOP has ZERO platform it is all HATE the liberals - I mean they are completely in big businesses pocket and ****ing over their constituents who seem to be too damned stupid to notice. DD
Remember when they used Veteran funding to build Trump's wall? They try to act all Patriotic and in support of Veterans and police. We saw how they treat that Capitol policeman now who was beat by Trump's mob. They snub him when they pass him. Yet, they hailed Rittenhouse as a hero. Disgusting.
The GOP Just Asked Hungary's Authoritarian, Viktor Orban, to Headline Its Most Important Conference Orban's closest adviser quits in protest of Orban's racist speech, describing it pure nazi speech the Republican party has gone from American exceptionalism to Hungarian Racist exceptionalism
Jon Stewart laid it out there eloquently. He is deeply involved in this bill and getting it done...as he was for getting 9/11 first responders' extended healthcare. The Republican supporters are now on a "it's added pork that is going to be spent elsewhere, like on climate change" when it's not. Keep in mind that these same Republicans voted for the original bill and the spending part language did not change. But, now it's "pork" and money that should not be included. It's a bad look for Republicans and only deepens the divide. Edit: The issue is more complicated than what it seems. It is about a clause regarding an additional $400 billion to be spent over ten years. Apparently, the Republicans don't trust the Appropriations committee to spend that money wisely and are of the belief that this money could be spent elsewhere on unrelated things. Hence, the "pork" claim. It's basically a trust issue within our own government on how that money will be appropriated and spent. I believe this additional money is intended to support this bill and veterans. But, it really comes down to what the Appropriations committee decides and what Congress approves...so it could possibly go elsewhere. I don't claim to understand why there is an additional $400 billion on top of the $278.5 billion that is earmarked to be spent specifically on the toxicity issues affecting vets. But, it does apparently mean an additional $40 billion spent over ten years to be appropriated, approved, and spent annually. It's no wonder everyone is confused by all this crap and most folks only go as deep as a headline. As far as who is in the wrong exactly, who knows? Depending on how that money is spent annually, it may or may not be a good thing. But, Republicans didn't object to this language in the bill originally. So, they were either confused themselves or caught on way late because they approved of this bill originally before it was sent back to the House for some minor unrelated changes, House approval, and then back to the Senate for Senate approval. Just get the sh_t passed for the Vets! My understanding is this has been dragging on for ten years! I'm pretty sure they will get it done before they leave and all this hoopla will have been for nothing.
Pro-defense, yellow-ribbon wearing, arm-chair patriots can't spend an extra dime for the Vets they give lipservice to. Sounds about right...
So where is Democrat @Os Trigonum condemning the Republicans in the Senate for voting down this badly needed bill for our veterans? What these Republicans did is unconscionable. This should have been an easy vote that crossed Party lines.
