This is stupid. Wartime leaders still laugh and have fun during their day if they can. To not do so would be terrible for your blood pressure. It's also normal for war time leaders to do press meetings, photo shoots, etc. as a way to draw attention to their cause, inspire their soldiers, project strength and normalcy, etc. General Omar Bradley hated doing media but did it anyway because he was convinced that it was good for American morale and for the morale of his own troops to see him in the papers and hear him on the radio.
I find it a little creepy that posters like @MojoMan and @Commodore so openly and fervently embrace authoritarianism. Having said that, Russia and Putin knows that he only has to wait a couple years until Trump or DeSantis get elected President and the USA will stop aiding Ukraine and he can get his lebensraum.
We should be supporting the Ukranians with everything we have, keep the LONGER range stuff on the down low, but support them with all they need to defeat Russia a defeated Russia is great for world stability. DD
The USA turns on wars no matter who is elected president. The news cycle is already on to only secondary issues with the War. Gas prices, prisoner exchange, Ukraine keeping up it's exports etc. We have so much churn in our politics and culture nothing big or long term happens ever.
We have to help our fellow Ukrainians Like @TheRealist137 they love Tmac in Ukraine too @J.R. @Os Trigonum
Sounds good to me and fits what I've been saying. The US is doing what it can to help /ukraine without getting directly involved.
this was meant for basso trying to wean Europe off Russian gas is an economic industrial investment process that costs money and has been going on long before this war. this war cant speed it up
@SamFisher why do you support castration and beheadings of Ukrainians? incrementalism=support for Putin.
